EVERYONE flinches at his name. Wormtail was probably just trying to keep up pretenses. Of course, he probably said the name with great reverence.
Or, it's just a mistake.

No he flinched then sirius said "scared of your own master's name?" And he protested so i dont think he was trying 2 keep up pretenses...probably just a mistake
Not everyone flinches at his name. In example, Dumbledore and Harry did not. Nor Ginny, I think. And I'm sure they weren't the only ones in Britain's wizarding society. Because it really matters on one's personality and how one was taught.
