Um, no.

Part of the reason, IMO, that made Voldemort so creepy was that he didn't have normal emotions, didn't he have the ability to really care for people (possibly excluding certain Death Eaters? He seemed to favor Severus and Bellatrix), nor did he even want to. He simply used and manipulated people for his own gain. Voldemort, didn't understand 사랑 (IMO, he saw it has a human flaw, a weakness that could and should be done without) and I don't even think he had the ability to love. If he had fallen in love, it would have changed everything about his character (not to mention made me extremely disappointed in JK for changing such a huge character trait simply to make sure he ended up with someone).

사랑 does not necessarely change people. That's why so many relationships go crap.

Possibly? I remember hearing something like that, but I don't remember if it was a rumor 또는 if it was something Jo said.

He never fell in 사랑 because he did not know either 사랑 또는 friendship. He considered them as weaknesses - which did not prevent him from using that "weakness" to gain leverage and purchase over people (see the Malfoys).

He was a dashing young man and I'm sure he had some girls in his young time. Sex and 사랑 are 2 different things.

A potion is 더 많이 than the mere sum of its ingredients. I believe 사랑 is the ingredient, the extra bit in our soul, that allows us to work as human beings. Voldemort cannot work as a human being because he lacked this ingredient, this extra bit. That's why we may say he's a psychopath/sociopath.

Voldemort could not fall in 사랑 because he had never experienced it as a child. Conceived lovelessly, without his mother's 사랑 (as she had died shortly after his birth), dumped in an orphanage where people have little to offer him, plus he was surely a child that needed 더 많이 사랑 and security than any other, and this is it. The recipe to disaster.

I had read somewhere that most dictators and totalitarian leaders had had miserable childhoods. Most likely a common trait. Not that every mistreated child will end up as such, but if 당신 give them power... well, who knows ?

It's interesting to compare that Harry and Severus had had unloved childhoods too but they made different choices in life. Harry had been conceived in 사랑 and had been cherished during the first 년 of his existence. Severus must have been desired at some point 의해 at least his mother. She had been present for him and protected him (maybe) against his father. Maybe all this was enough to set their minds onto loving. Tom Riddle had none of this at all.

Nothing is set in anticipation. Yet Voldemort made all the disastrous choices in his life.

Somewhere, I agree with Harry : I feel sorry for him.

Good question. To be honest, I don't really know either. But maybe he just didn't know 사랑 because he never experienced it.

Ok here are my reasons:
1. He's extremely creepy
2. He's EXTREMELY ugly
3. I don't think 사랑 was a major prioroty in his life. I think it was 더 많이 of killing Harry then anything.

The series would have been ruined. Voldemort does know 사랑 nor does he value it. That is why Harry survived. Voldemort didn't understand why Lily sacrficed herself 또는 what good that would do. He thought it was stupid, but it ended up being his downfall. But, 당신 see, if he DID 사랑 he'd understand that she was doing an act of bravery and he shouldn't kill her because 사랑 would protect Harry.
I feel that is what makes him horrible. He can't feel any emotion, so he wouldn't show any mercy.
Maybe 당신 can write a fanfiction about it, though. I'd 사랑 to read it :)

For some reason, I always thought he came off slightly gay. But that's no reason he can't have a romance... so... I don't know why I brought that up.

Anyhoo, he has a BLACK HEART.

That's why.

When someone wants to actually figure out how to make themselves inhuman to gain power, you're not really interested in love, understanding, empathy 또는 loyalty; unless it's for you. Voldemort has a cult of personality as did Hitler, so the only 사랑 he would want to see would be for him because he sees himself as powerful. Cult of personality people tend to be very egotistical and only look for their gain only and will dispose of anyone that disagrees. Also, because he had separated his soul. Therefore he has no soul inside to be able to feel love, that makes him less than human and 사랑 is a human trait.

Actually, the reason JK Rowling has given for Voldemort not being capable of 사랑 is because he was conceived under a 사랑 potion. His mother, Merope Gaunt, fell in 사랑 with a muggle named Tom Riddle. Knowing he would never 사랑 her back, she tricked him into drinking a 사랑 potion she had brewed and they ran away together. When she became pregnant she discontinued the use of the 사랑 potions, hoping Riddle had fallen in 사랑 with her, 또는 would stay for their unborn son. To her dismay he left, and 분 after giving birth to Tom Riddle Jr. she died.
