So Hagrid's wand is broken when he is expelled but he still uses the pieces to do magic. This doesn't make sense because when Ron's wand broke, every spell backfired. So how is Hagrid doing it?

My theory is that since Dumbledore had the Elder wand and it has the ability to repair wands Dumbledore simply repaired it and told Hagrid to hide it in something hollow so he wouldn't get in trouble again with the ministry and knowing Hagrid a 담홍색, 핑크 umbrella is the only thing he could find that could conceal it

When Ron's wand is broken, the spells are backfired which is true but if 당신 remember even Hagrid can't perform most spells perfectly so it's ok

oh, so weak spells is equivalent to backfiring spells? i guess it just depends on the type of wand maybe as to how it will work. thanks

yea that confused me because when harry's wand broke didnt olvanders(wand maker) tell him there was no possible way that the wand can work again, so how does hagrids wand work?

Maybe because Hagid is stonger, older, and 더 많이 experienced. So he can handle things like that. Ron is an amatuer - 또는 whatever 당신 wanna call him - and can sometimes be accident-prone.

maybe but Hagrid technically only had one 년 더 많이 of schooling than Ron had at the point that his wand was broken

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking as well. Dumbledore seemed to know that Hagrid was still using magic, even after his wand was snapped. Dumbledore definitely had something to do with it.

i dunno, i'm still inclined to believe that Mrinmayee is closer to the truth. if 당신 look back to PS in the Keeper of the Keys chapter, it says that Hagrid actually wanted to turn Dudley into a pig but only managed to give him a pig's tail. He can make fires easily enough but transfiguration would require a proper wand. actually maybe you're right because Hagrid only had 3 years of schooling so transfiguration would have been difficult for him, especially on that scale.

Your magic is channeled through your wand's core and wood. 당신 will always get the best results if 당신 use the wand that chos you, even thoughh 당신 can, in theory, use another's wand.
When your wand breaks, it can no longer effectively channel your magic. If 당신 insist on using a broken wand, your magic will be uncontrolled and unpredictable.
It is possible to cast spells with a broken wand, but 당신 should be careful. The results could be disastrous.
