In it's 초 year, Grimm managed to captivate its audience just as well as it did in the first season. New twists, characters, and alliances kept the whole season fresh and exciting. It was difficult to pick out just seven of this last season's episodes, but I finally thinned it out to what I think are the best.

#7: Episode 41, "Endangered"; The Gluhenvolk are an amazing species of wesen. Not only does this episode delve into the origin of aliens, but it also introduces a beautiful species of wesen, not to mention the underlying message about poaching endangered animals.

#6: Episode 31, "La Llarona"; Variety proves to be no problem for the writers of Grimm. Nick not only battles wesen, in this episode he earns the rank of Ghostbuster. This episode was a delightful 할로윈 treat. I also appreciate that the writers reached out to the Hispanic community of Portland, 의해 tying the episode with el Dia de los Muertos. Plus, we get to see Monroe scare the crap out of a bratty kid. Always a pleasure.

#5: Episode 32, "In the 시간 of Death"; I feel this episode really delved into Grimm history. We now understand that Grimms can be just as easily villains as they can be heroes. For those of 당신 who may not have watched it yet, I won't reveal the big twist, but those of 당신 who have seen it, I think you'll agree that it was a shocker. I 사랑 anything that takes me 의해 surprise.

#4: Episode 27, "The Good Shepherd"; as I stated in my 이전 article, one of the best things about Grimm is its way to put new twists on old tales. In this episode, we delve into the original meaning of the story about the 늑대 in sheep's clothing. The bible describes false prophets and ministers as a 늑대 in sheep's clothing, so it's only natural that they should depict the lying, cheating minister as a Blutbad, and his flock as, well, a flock of 양 (Seelenguter). This episode deals with problems that plague the real world as well as the fictional world of wesen. Religion can become a dangerous weapon in the hands of a dangerous person.

#3: Episode 38, "Nameless"; once again, a fairy tale is reborn. I always loved the tale of "Rumplestiltskin", and I was happy to see it become a new inspiration for Grimm. We see the tale of a girl who gained wealth and fame 의해 taking the credit for the work of an unnamed prodigy. The only way to save herself is to figure out the name of the creature (which turns out to be an anagram of "Rumplestiltskin"). Even the end of the episode is similar to the fairy tale. Once the creature is defeated, he is so distraught at being beat that he commits suicide. Overall, a clever and exciting episode.

#2: Episode 37, "Mr. Sandman"; The Jinimuru Xunte is probably the most disgusting wesen there is. Just the fact that it's a giant, hideous fly
is bad enough, but the fact that it feeds on tears and spews flesh-eating nematodes into your eyes is just awful. After Nick was blinded, I was on the edge of my 좌석 the entire time. I thought it was amazing that someone who appeared so charming could turn into something that disgusting. I will give him one thing though; he has a great taste in cars.

#1: Epsiode 43, "The Walking Dead"; Okay, it was cool enough that they decided to bring in a Zombie Apocalypse for the season finale, and then they brought in the coolest wesen anyone could imagine. This guy is based on the Voodoo god Baron Samedi, 또는 Papa Ghede, loa guardian of the dead. As per the legends, he strolls about wearing a dapper 상단, 맨 위로 hat and leaning on a cane. It only makes sense that he would be a puffer fish, as the poisons in the puffer 물고기 can induce a death-like coma. I understand this guy is evil, but man, does he have style. Not only does he have the power to unleash an army of zombie slaves, but he looks good while doing it. Overall, the season could not have ended with a bigger bang. Bravo!
