Now and always'' type of quote - that whole intense shipping nonsense can turn a fandom toxic. I did think; ''ah, Jaime and Brienne could make a go of it'', but I was no way invested in the romantic pairings, canon or otherwise, it was just a passing thought. Some stans are going ape**** that Jon killed Dany - and a lot of these are the people who shipped them before they even met, and argued online with people who liked the canon pairing at the time of Jon and Ygritte. (Which is nuts, IMO) The whole Dany/Jon relationship seemed too contrived and not really something that was a natural progression. And she was his aunt which added the ick factor for me (I didn't like the Lannister incest either, because I'm not one of those people who thinks s****ing your own close family member is hot or romantic. XD
