It happened to me many times. That aside, let's talk a little bit about it. I feel that it originated from the non-technological world, where assertive men were considered "driven," "motivated," etc. while assertive women were called "b*tchy," "rude," 또는 even worse--- "bratty" 또는 "immature," when in reality, those women are speaking their minds. They're not trying to offend others, but their words were misunderstood a little. This was why female bosses were sometimes seen as bossy 또는 rude.
I've seen that too many times online. From my experience as a young adult woman, I would try to state my opinion, no matter what website I'm on. But, whenever I do, I get criticized, and my opinion would be disliked. The reply would be from a man whose 코멘트 would be liked more. Why? Because this sexism was online, not just offline.
Sometimes whenever a woman asserted herself online, she would be scandalized for it. Male accounts would give threats to her, like rape threats for example. I'm not saying that men are at their worst when online; they feared that they would be seen as "weak" if they ever agreed with the opposite gender about a certain opinion.
The idea that women should not be assertive is getting really old. Back then, they were supposed to be passive and submissive to men. When they got the right to work, they still don't get equal treatment. Whenever they are being assertive, they are often told to shut up, as if female free speech was a problem. (Actually, it's not. Anyone can be assertive without being rude.)
I mean, whenever a woman with an online account posts a blog 또는 a passionate 코멘트 about something, they are often harassed while their male counterparts were praised for speaking their mind. Worse, they are told to either shut up 또는 go offline. Once, I would post 코멘트 on some websites about something that was against my opinion, I would try to disagree and differ.
However, those 코멘트 were either flagged as spam. Other times, they get the most dislikes. There are some annoying 코멘트 like "take a joke" 또는 "you're stupid." Those comments, in a sense, are not kind. I have a sense of humor, but sexist jokes are not my thing. I'm not stupid; I went to school.
I'm sure the same thing happened to other women online. If someone ever wants to disagree, then they should be level-headed and mature at all times. It seems that men won't grow up sometimes when they're trying to harass women. If they ever agree with women, they're "feminine" and "gay," when in reality, they're not.
If all this drama is to stop, then the internet and the offline world might become a better place for us all. And if you're a man and 읽기 this, let me tell 당신 something.
