Wow, we're at the end of another year. It's just amazing what happened this year. I feel like I accomplished so much this year. Even though there were some crappy moments it was an 사무용 겉옷, 전반적인 good year.
January - March
This was probably the worst part of the 년 for me. I wasn't allowed to go to my 9th grade formal 또는 see Mika in 음악회, 콘서트 all because I had a C in English. I read in the Philly Citypaper the review for Mika's show which was described as his best in the States. I just wanted to kick myself in the head. We had snow like crazy. It was extremely cold all through March. I can't stand the cold. I had a one resolution for New Years. I wanted to go to a 음악회, 콘서트 because I had never been to one before and luckily I was able to accomplish it.
April - June
Omg, April - June rocked. Got my English grade up. My birthday was in May and I turned 15. In June I went to my first concert. I went to see Harry and the Potters, Math Band, and Uncle Monsterface. Probably my 가장 좋아하는 moment of 2008. The 음악회, 콘서트 was in a stuffy church basement. It was filled with ballons and inflatable lobsters. And probably the best part: Free Kool-Aid!
July - September
Went to the 바닷가, 비치 in New Jersey and I got to see my cousins from Iowa. We walked to 7-11 everyday to get slushies and chilled on the 바닷가, 비치 everyday. I went fishing in the 만, 베이 의해 Atlantic City for the first time. I caught one flounder. A week after that we went up to Maine for a Blues Festival my parents wanted to go to. My sister and I played in the ocean while they watched the different bands. The water in Maine is freezing. Most times we just went in up to our ankles and we wouldn't be able to feel our toes. We collected a bunch of sea glass and shells. When we left Maine we drove down to Salem, Mass to see my uncle. We walked around to see all the little shops and almost every 샵 had Harry Potter merchandise. When it got dark my mom, my sister, and I walked into the graveyard where apparently some of the witches from Salem Witch Trials were buried. We didn't go in very far because it was just too eerie. Then we went back 집 and we went to Hershey Park which is just freaking awesome. I was finally able to get over my fear of Roller coasters. Then a few days after that, school started and I entered 10th grade.
October - December
October started off great. In the first week i went to see Hot Chip in concert. The lights were mind blowing. They were flying every where and matched the 음악 perfectly. Then there were giant balloons everywhere. A couple weeks after that my mom turned 50. She expected a huge party but we gave her an 아이팟 instead. She was still happy. The 일 after I took her to see Rhys Darby, from the Flight of the Concords, do stand up. He was hilarious and she had a good time. Although she was itching to get to a radio to hear the Phillies game. My mom is a die hard Phillies fan. She told me the last time the Phillies won the World Series she bet her 프렌즈 that they would win. Although they weren't betting in money, they were betting in cases of beer. She said the mini fridge in her apartment was packed for weeks. She also took me and my sister to Phillies games when we were was just a few months old. So when the Phillies won it was like 크리스마스 for her. The parade was on 할로윈 and while she was in the city partying my 프렌즈 and i got dressed up in glitter and wings and headed down on the train to meet her. After the parade she took us to see the Ting Tings. When we got to the venue there were still Phillies 팬 walking through the streets and screaming. They were playing a Myspace Secret Show at this place called the Barbary. I later learned that my Dad and his 프렌즈 had played there during the '90s. We were in the front row and while we danced we rubbed glitter off onto everyone around us. It was possibly the best 할로윈 ever. Week after that I went to my first 아니메 convention. It was held at Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster. I got to see what college was like and I met a lot of cool people. The only thing that bothered me was that there were 5 Ls from Death Note. For most of the weekend I played video games. One night I played Rock Band until about 2 in the morning. We finished of our set with Blitzkrieg Bop. Everyone in the room was 노래 at the 상단, 맨 위로 of their lungs. Thanksgiving this 년 was okay. My aunt's 오븐 broke and turned up to super hot and burned the turkey in minutes. The only thing we could salvage was the turkey breast. December was good too. The first week of December I went to Yule Ball at Bryn Mawr College with my friend Shalayna. Surprisingly it was a lot like Yule Ball in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It was held in this building called the Thomas Great Hall and it really could pass for the Great Hall in Harry Potter. Everyone was dressed in formal wear and having a good time. It was snowing outside so it made everything perfect. The Moaning Myrtles, Ministry of Magic, The Mudbloods, and The Whomping Willows were playing. If 당신 like Harry Potter, then 당신 should check them out. When Ministry of Magic began 노래 everything when crazy. Everyone was jumping and 노래 along. In the middle of this 월 I found out that I'm going to get to go to Germany. I'm currently in my 초 년 of German and every other 년 my school has an exchange program. I just sent my letter to my exchange student and I can't wait to go. 크리스마스 was great this year,even though we didn't have a white Christmas. It was raining all the time. We got a Wii so that brought our spirits up.
Wow, that was extremely long but that was pretty much my 년 summarized. I can't wait until 2009 because that's when my exchange student comes here and that's when I go to Germany. And I'm gonna go into 11th grade and I'll have to start looking at colleges. Pretty soon I'll be in college. This 년 has gone 의해 so fast and I'm sure the same will happen 다음 year. Anyways, Happy New 년 everyone.
