Yesterday I made it to over 100 ratings and was quite proud of myself. Reason for a virtual party right? 또는 is it? dam da da dam! This is the point Im going to try to establish.

When I think about it, I'm not the best of raters. I'll almost always give things 5 stars, maybe Ill go as far as to give 4 stars for lesser quality. I cant remember a time when Ive gone out right crazy with a 3 별, 스타 rate.

So what I want to ask 당신 is am I a bad rater? 또는 maybe I just choose the things I watch carefully. Do I go soft just not to offend the person who 게시됨 the item, 또는 is that okey?

Short and to the point really, what do 당신 think?

JulieL44 I do the same most of the time. I think it's because I don't rate the things I don't like. Which is bad but there aren't that many of those :) I can't imagine any content where I would give 3 stars or less. But if you have come across such content you shouldn't hesitate while rating it. If you think it's not worthy of more than 3 stars then you should let the person who posted it know it. I think it only hurts when there is no reason behind the bad rating so maybe you should comment on why you didn't like it. So, in short, you're not a bad rater =D

kathiria82 Keep rating what you view because there are so many users who add so much to Fanpop and don't get their contributions rated. I don't mind people rating my stuff lower than 5 stars just as long as they rate everything fairly. There is still petty rating going on but I think if the loser who is doing it realizes we care so much then they will continue to rate low. I just continue to add because eventually they will tire of having no life and go away for good.

Temptasia Yeah awesome job. I think most people don't care if you rate their stuff lower as long as you explain it in a comment. I suggest rating honestly, no one will hold that against you. I think most people would love to hear your opinion even if they don't agree. Anyways, Great job again. I am so excited that you have made it a priority.

harold The more people start rating content, the less the random ratings that we all receive sometimes will matter - whether they are inexplicably low or high, they will be at the edge of the averaged rating.

shingkai i also do the same thing... not because i just dont want to offend them but because of their effort to contribute something... and in that case they deserve to be rated... btw i admire you for doing that...

Just a bit of 조언 to all new fans.
I'm possibly the shyest person when it comes to joining a new website, complete opposite in person, so I know what it's like. It took me a couple of days to finally add a comment, it's likely that it was in the Twilight club because I knew that there would be people there that would have near the same views as me there, so find a club that 당신 feel comfortable with and just post 코멘트 there, make sure that the club has enough activity so that 당신 won't feel that people are ignoring you. G'day awesome Fanpoppers!
This can either be considered as a rambling rant 또는 as something of concern 의해 a fellow Fanpopper. Over the last few days I have noticed that so many 질문 asked in the 답변 feature is in relation to users trying to increase their fanlist. I have come across at least half a dozen 질문 in various spots where users are asking other users to 팬 them and promising to reward them with props.
To me that just is not the appropriate way to increase one's fanlist. Your fans, just like your props, should be earned!
What bothers me is just how many people are requesting...
