Do 당신 believe in author powers? 8D

Yes, I do believe in author power. Because 글쓰기 a fic itself is giving power to a person to change the original canon story around. Author notes are acceptable, because an author does need to write a little note to the readers, but to me, they are acceptable as long as they are before 또는 after the fic. ANs between fics, however, is a big no-no for me. ANs inserted in the middle of a fic can ruin the entire tone of the story, and jolts 당신 back to reality and 당신 think that "oh yeah, it's just a fanfiction."

Self-inserts in general bothers me a lot, don't even ask why. It's just really, really annoying, and most of them are badly written in my fandom. Fourth 벽 breakages.. hmm, haven't seen much of those around, but I'm not really fond of those either. Basically, I prefer fics to be taking place in its universe, and the authors' role in this is just 글쓰기 the story itself, and that's it.

Author notes are fine either at the start 또는 end of a chapter. Sometimes they're necessary, e.g. a note explaining that the 다음 chapter will be delayed for some reason 또는 other. An author note in the middle of the chapter spoils the flow though.

Author powers and ruling the story - what do 당신 mean? The author decides what happens in the story, that is what it means to be the author. 당신 can do whatever 당신 want (as long as 당신 mention canon divergence, AU etc in the summary, since some people dislike this)

I've read a few self-insertions and they've been ok. I know a lot of people hate the majority, 또는 hate them all, though. Maybe I've been lucky in the ones I've found.

I don't really like fourth 벽 breakage. Like the mid-chapter notes, it breaks the flow.
