Trouble

[Mitten's Point of View]

코브라 and I were searching for the perfect spot for Bolt and Maria to hold the ceremony. It is going to be a week before the wedding takes place, but nothing can contain the excitement I have for him. Bolt already told us about that spot they found on one of the hills, but they couldn't risk getting spotted 의해 Bruce, so we decided to look somewhere in the forest. I know there was this one spot that works just as well, so we decided to check that out. When we got there, we saw that it was even better than I remembered.

"Well," I said, "I think this will work well."

"Well," 코브라 replied with 질문 in his voice, "It's perfect! I mean, I can envision the whole thing happening right now."

"You too? I guess that means this is the spot."

Our tails then crossed. We looked at our tails, then at each other. We both blushed. For weeks now, I began feeling the same way for 코브라 as Maria feels for Bolt. I need to tell him, but I'm not sure how he'll react. I know I can tell him anytime, but right now is my best time to tell him.

"Cobra, there's something I need to tell you."

"Yes?"

"We've been 프렌즈 for weeks. I'm not sure how you're going to react, and I know this is a little unexpected, but I have feelings for you."

"Really"

"Yes."

"Mittens, I have the same feelings for 당신 too. I just wasn't sure how 당신 were going to react. So 당신 already know my 다음 question?"

"Are 당신 asking me to be your mate?"

"Yes."

"And would 당신 be upset if I said yes?"

"No way. I 사랑 당신 too much to turn 당신 down."

We nuzzled each other for what seemed like hours, but we were interrupted from our thoughts when we heard a noise. We hid behind a bush. 초 later, we saw Bruce appear. He scratched something in the ground before saying, "Bolt, tonight 당신 will be sorry for crossing my path. I will never forgive 당신 for stealing Maria from me."

When he walked out, we padded over to where he was scratching and saw a crude drawing of Bolt and Maria with an "X" over it.

"Oh no," I said under my breath.

"We need to warn them immediately."

[Later]

[Maria's Point of View]

Bolt and I were still asleep, but I woke up when I heard a scratch at the door. I walked up to the door and poked my head out of the doggie door. I'm sorry I did because I saw Bruce on the other side! I tried to pull my head back in, but he already grabbed me 의해 the scruff of my neck. As a puppy, I would find that relaxing; but now it's painful, especially with his sharp teeth. I yelped several times, but there was no response. Bruce pulled me out and threw me over the porch and on the ground. Bruce stood over me and growled, "I am going to enjoy this. It's too bad your 'mate' isn't here to save you."

"That's what 당신 think." We both looked over and saw Bolt standing on the front porch. "Listen, I know you're upset that Maria chose me over you, but if 당신 had a better attitude, things might have turned out differently."

"Have 당신 even met me? I am the king of the streets. If 당신 think I'll let up for anyone then 당신 have another thing coming." Bruce put his paw on my chest. He applied pressure until one of my ribs broke. I screamed in pain. "You know, it's ironic: on the show, 당신 save many lives, but 당신 won't be able to save your own life, let alone your mate…"

"Let… her… go…"

"No."

Two 더 많이 of my ribs broke. I yelped. Bolt could see the tears in my eyes. We could both see what Bruce was planning: he's going to kill me before he kills Bolt.
