And they changed her name amidst racial controversy, which is fine, but one of my best friends is black and is named Maddy, so it upset us that they changed it because it sounded too lower class. As my friend Ashanti put it, "It sounds like a wannabe ghetto name..." Personally, I wouldn't put it so harshly, but it does make you think. posted over a year ago.

The name just doesn't fit right but Tiana is just perfect.
