Jokes a few times about tropes/clichés while using said tropes and clichés.
Beside that, this movie works.

Hmm I guess Moana at this point. Again, I don't find any of these movies offensive except Enchanted. I'll just copy and paste what I wrote about Enchanted in my countdown: That whole thing about Giselle never having been angry before. Just ugh. Her personality is supposed to be based on the Classic DPs, as if they were never angry. Snow gets pretty annoyed with the dwarves when their standards of cleanliness don't meet her discerning eye, Cindy gets extremely pissed at Lucifer, her stepfamily, and even a clock, and Aurora is definitely livid with her aunts when they reveal she's a princess and has to go back to her parents. It's like the writers didn't even watch the source material.

Moana on the other hand isn't intended to be a parody. Yes, there's Moana's insistence that she isn't a princess, but that's Disney's attempt to be culturally accurate, not their denial of the Disney Princesses. Princesses are a primarily European concept, and the station comes with certain cultural connotations and expectations. Moana is not European, she's Polynesian. Being the daughter of the chief, although culturally the equivalent of a princess, does not make her a princess. Being the daughter of the chief in her culture comes with separate cultural connotation and separate expectations different from a European princess.

I don't see how Moana is a parody. Moana state that she isn't a princess, but daughter of chief instead. But it's sort of true as she's Polynesian and some of cultures include Polynesia didn't familiar with monarch system. Other than that Moana is typically a similar movie as earlier Disney princess movies such as Pocahontas and Mulan.

Frozen went before this one?? It tries to be a deconstruction of fairy tales. Moana only has the "I'm not a princess" line, which I agree with MaidofOrleans on.
