I hope the question is understandable. I mean if you answer the pick, for example Who is the smartest? do you count actions of princesses only in the original movie? Or in their sequels too?

No! That would just confuse things seeing as Cinderella, for example, is practically two different people in her original movie and the third one. Also, in the Beauty and the Beast sequels completely contradict the timeline of the first one and they make Beast seem extremely abusive whereas in the first one he was only mean to Belle for a few hours on the first night she was there. If the sequels were done more carefully and honored the original films more, I would. But Disney sequels are generally cheap and crappy.

Well, honestly I agree with you about it, I even think that it's a little unfair to count them...

I agree with what dweeb said. If they planned the stories and plots out better and didn't use crappy second rate animation, the sequels would be great. Now, they're just a HUGE disappointment to me! I try not to think about it because it makes me mad, lol.

I don't. It can seem a little unfair, not every character even has a real sequel, a character given much longer air time is going to show more of every trait and ability eventually. For example if you judge something like bravery, of course it's practically impossible to do as many brave things in one movie than in a bunch of them and a tv show. It feels better to have them all on even footing and just judge the originals.
Not to mention more than once a character has changed personality or behaviour in a sequel. I never look at the sequels as an official continuation, just as cash cows. I can't see them as an official part of the story when they often actively contradict the originals. If they put care and respect into them it would be a different story.

The sequels are just plain fun for me to watch. When answering Disney Questions I think of the originals, unless it pertains to a sequel.

Only if something from the sequel is consistent with the original personality.

I sometimes count Mulan 2 and The Little Mermaid 3 (I hardly ever do though). They stick with the original personalities IMO.

It really depends on how accurate the sequel is. If the sequels were consistent, then I do. If they completely raped the original personality-wise then I don't. Like, although Enchanted Christmas is a great film, I'd never base Belle's personality on it because they completely fucked her character. I actually prefer her in the sequel for that very reason, but you know. I'd base Mulan off Mulan II though because every single bit of that sequel fitted in with the original - even the animation was epic win in a tin.
