For me, this is tough. I sort of have to write out what's evil about them.

The Queen neglected Snow White for many years, likely killed her father, and then set out to murder Snow. She literally held no compassion for Snow White, only jealousy, rage, and hate.

Lady Tremaine- mentally and emotionally abused Cinderella for many years and intended on keeping her enslaved forever. She could have set out to kill her, I guess, but she wasn't anywhere closet to that (didn't even physically harm her) so I guess that makes her less evil than The Queen, for example.

Maleficent- set a powerful curse on a baby, separating the parents from their child and then intended to set a curse on Phillip. On the other hand, she made zero efforts to find Aurora until she was SIXTEEN (that's sixteen years of her sitting on her ass throwing a fit instead of DOING something, which I think someone truly evil and vengeful would have done) but she did actually manage to curse Aurora. Stylish and Intimidating? absolutely. EVIL?! i'm not sure.

Ursula- Enslaved a large amount of merpeople in her domain for who knows HOW long (never explains how long, could be several years because Ursula is no spring chicken) and turned Triton into a polyp too. Wanted to take over the whole ocean. I guess it also took her some time to formulate a plan too but maybe she was waiting for an opportunity.

Gaston - I just think this guy is such a cruel asshat. I love him as a character, but he's totally sexist, physically abusive, turns everyone against Belle and the Beast for no reason, uses a confused old man to achieve his own gains just to marry someone. To me Gaston is one of the more evil ones. And he is cruel and tortuous to the Beast as well as STABS him just for being friends with Belle. To me he's totally psychotic

Jafar Jafar is like, evil villain 101, in a good way. Really well done. Wants to take over the world, succeeds, tries to have Aladdin killed TWICE, actually enslaves Jasmine successfully, and was about to take over the whole world and be cruel to everyone.

Ratcliffe I mean, he's clearly murdered multiple people based on race. And had plans to wipe out entire races of people.

Shan-Yu Murdered thousands upon thousands, civilians and soldiers, just because he felt threatened by the wall. Probably the most evil on this list.

Dr. Facillier His plan is so convoluted but he wants to murder Big Daddy La Bouff for money. He has all the powers of voodoo in his hands and that's his grand plan? LAME. Not very evil imo.

Mother Gothel Kidnapped a child for personal gain and mentally/emotionally abused that child for years and easily will murder others. Very manipulative.

Mor'Du-- This is tough because are we referring to Mor'Du with his backstory? Or just the Mor'Du in the movie? Because Mor'Du literally caused an entire kingdom to fall, including his own family, due to his own greed. But those aren't his in-movie actions. In the movie, he has murdered people, but not out of evil, basically it seems like only when they encroach on his territory. He has no evil plan.

I see that somebody will say, "She is an abuser". But every of them did something terrible, this is why they are villains.

All are evil maybe gothel because Even if this was for very selfish reasons and she isolate rapunzel she give her a little comfort in the tower ?

He wanted to be more powerful to take down his brothers and their armies but once he became a bear he wasn't really in his right mind. After he died he did look really remorseful of what he did

I say that Shan Yu, Gaston, and The Queen are the most evil to me. After this is Jafar, Ursula, and Radcliffe. They just murder and torture without any remorse or sense of kindness. I feel like Ursula at least has a week excuse of vengeance against Triton, whereas Jafar and Radclife are pretty much totally baseless. Same for the first 3 I mentioned. It's hard to decide who is truly the most evil.

Gothel & Tremaine are about the same level, Gothel is less 'cruel' because she at least does things FOR Rapunzel but at least Tremaine makes her intentions clear with Cinderella and doesn't emotionally manipulate her in the same way.

Facilier's plan is just so convoluted and lame and he had so much more potential with the great power he wielded. Same for Maleficent.


I ended up voting for Mor'Du only because Mor'Du isn't trying to be evil, and he doesn't have any plot, at least during the course of history of Brave. Prior to Brave, as I mentioned above, he was definitely really bad, but this isn't his character during the course of the film. And he's the only one to show remorse.

I don't think Mordu's even considered as a villain. Referred to the story that Elinor told to Merida, he just basically almost the same with Merida; with their mistake, they makes everything worse.

he regretted being what he had become, he didnt want that. He was also not in control of himself truly. He literally thanked Elinor/Merida for releasing him from MorDu's body.
