for me, this is very easy. tiana works hard, is defiant, tells off Naveen, etc. she'd love her. I think Merida might admire Pocahontas, especially since Pocahontas is so carefree and runs around outside and stuff, but, as soon as Pocahontas meets John she may be less interested.

No contest. She'd see too much of the traits that grated her in Elinor in Tiana. And she'd like that Pocahontas' status as a princess and gender are never held against her, how she defies tradition, is one with nature, takes risks and loves to explore and is very brave.
