Some of you probably know that I wanna remake the Disney Sequels if I ever get to work at Disney and one of the changes I'm definitely making is getting rid of the stupid Tip and Dash characters and having the merkids she met be her companions, as well as making them people of color.

The mermaid she met I changed to an African American named Magnolia who is a little ditsy (though not dumb and has her own brand of smarts), cares about animals and the environment, and has a taste for fashion (as long as nothing was harmed when making the product). So she tries to give Melody more of a mermaid look to fit in better and show her how beautiful she is. She makes her hair loose and gave her some shells of her very own. Because of Melody's shy and introverted personality, she found it hard to say no to Magnolia, who is very extroverted. Here in the picture after the make-over, Magnolia grabs Melody by the rist to show the guys (Alex and James) her new look.

I really do wonder why in the movie they never questioned why she didn't wear a shell bra and wore something that would be considered unusual in the merpeople world. The hair being loose was just because I thought it would show her letting go of her fears of social interaction could be herself. It wasn't even a huge make-over, just some shells and letting her hair be loose. Magnolia believes in a natural look and as she probably would say to Melody afterwards "The pearl was already there. I just got the clam to open up so it could shine."

Now I really feel like writing my remake for Return to the Sea! If only I had the time to write it and an idea of what to do lol. Anyway, hope you guys like it and let me know what you think.

One problem, the shells pattern linings have gone. In the picture it just looks like solid colour bra, worn by humans. Unless this a transition stage - infant/cloth bra, preteen/shaped cloth bra, teenager and adult/Seashell bra. I quite like that actually, a coming of age cycle - Mermaid style.

Take a closer look at the bras, they are shells. Melody's isn't as clear for two reasons. One, her arms are covering a good deal of it because of how she's still nervous about what people might think. Another being that her color is cream and not something like purple, green, pink, or anything. Magnolia's is definitely clearer to see because of how it's purple and her arms are wide open to be seen. That shows how she's more of a social butterfly while Melody is more awkward and usually doesn't go around wearing nothing but a bra, especially considering the time period she was born in.

I see them now, after enlarging the picture. Forgot everything I said about bras *blushes* That is not a conversation I want to get into. But yeah I understand about time periods. Admittedly I was referring to today's bras in comparison but a tool to up the body changing fashion life cycle thing as inspiration.
