jasmine is so girly and a bit seductive and needs rescuing sometimes. she doesnt mind letting aladdin save her. merida is none of that. or aurora for similar reasons.

belle is to calm, mature, girly and likes books. merida is wild, immature, boyish and likes adventures and fighting. belle is loyal to her dad, merida is close to hers but isnt loyal to her mom. belle fell in love with a monster and merida would've killed him LOL
belle is like the mature, classy hipster lit freak in the jane austen book club and goes on dates, merida is the jock who plays football with the boys and hates anything romantic.

I do not think they would like each other much. Belle does not like being outside, loves reading, and is not athletic, while Merida is an outdoors person, does not like studying/reading, and is very athletic. They have little to nothing in common

They could relate to each other. Both have parents forcing them to marry, and they just want their freedom.

^I agree with Jayden and GGP (and Jasmine somewhat too). I know most people will immediately say Snow, Cinderella, or Aurora, but they wouldn't get into conflicts with Merida, whereas you know Belle would, for all the reasons aforementioned. they're almost opposites, the only thing they have in common is not being afraid to speak up, but that's still totally different. Merida isn't afraid to be rude about it, and Belle can be rude but mostly if someone is rude to her first; otherwise she's fairly well-mannered about it ("Gaston, may I have my book, please?"/ "Gimme my arrow bahck, ye great hairy TWIT!").

I actually think Merida would mind Snow the least of the classics, because of her bossing the dwarfs, her spunk, and her not letting the evil queen get her down.

I just don't think she'd understand Cinderella, she would get frustrated with Cinderella just taking everything and wouldn't understand why she would. She also wouldn't understand why she would try to be so classically feminine, she just in general wouldn't get Cinderella or appreciate her more mild strength. But really, looking at it, I don't think she'd really like many of them.

^I know, thinking about it I couldn't think of a single one she'd actually truly get along with or like, LOL. Maybe the Heroines but none of the Princesses, except perhaps Pocahontas. I can totally see her and Kida being friends.

She'd HATE her! I think she'd absolutely LOVE Ariel.

She wouldn't like the classics or Belle maybe at times Tiana because both are stubborn and would get on each others to much.

she would like snow whites spunky, bossy side, i dont get how she would dislike her more then belle or the others, i think some of you who hate snow white are being biased tbh

Belles to good for Merida anyway. I think she would despise Aurora probably question why Aurora didn't run of instead of being a princess :L She'd probably envy her beauty to haha. I think her mum would love her though :)
