hum, definitely Cinderella or Aurora. i can't exactly say i love them but i appreciate them at certain moments. i appreciate Cinderella for her patience and when she makes those sarcastic jokes and i appreciate Aurora because of her elegance and the way the speaks about her dream to the forest animals
but, most of the time, i really dislike or hate them. they're such typical damsel in distress with no goals and no independence

can't choose Ariel because i always hate her.

At the beginning, Jasmine is strong and really takes charge of her life, which I appreciate. But as the movie goes on, she gets more vocal about being strong, but becomes less strong in action.

pretty_angel92 Cinderella was not a demsel in distress. A little scared for objective and legitimate reasons such as ending up on streets with no money and nowhere to go if she dares to rebel against her step family, yes. But definitely not a damsel. Charming had no contribution to the fact that she went to the palace and attended the ball and ended up falling in love with him without even knowing he was a prince in the first place nor her strength and ability to overcome years of abuse and mistreatment can be considered a merit of his because if anything, it were her friends that helped her through all the obstacles and the reason why she had those friends in the first place was her ability to remain caring, kind and sympathetic regardless of the suffering and oppresion she had to endure and Fairy Godmother's help was a reward for the fact that Cinderella didn't lose hope even when the situation seemed hopeless. This is not how damsels in distress would act in my opinion. I can see why her being a little passive would be a problem for some people though but that is the trait most of the classic Disney princesses share.

Anyway, definitely have a love/hate relationship with Belle. On one hand I appreciate her for always remaining true to herself, on the other hand the image of intellectual outcast the movie tried to create for her doesn't work for me because I for the life of me can't agree with the concept that reading a lot of romantic novels is the definition of great intelligence, because it is in fact completely irrelevant to your intellectual level. Being smart is ability to embrace the information, to develop and that's something I never saw Belle doing throughout the movie taking that she remained the same from the beginning till the end.

For sure. I love her energy, drive, vision, enthusiasm, optimism, curiosity, but I don't like how she's spoiled and selfish (*sorry Ariel fans*).

Jasmine, Rapunzel, and maybe Belle. Jasmine, Throughout the movie I range from really liking her to being extremely annoyed by her over and over. She's a little bit of a hypocrite. Rapunzel, I can't put my finger on it, but sometimes I don't like her, for the most part she's pretty cool. Belle, I think she's great, but the fans are a bit too much. Wow, I'm too judgmental, I'll back down.

As much as I love Ariel, I think I'd have a pretty rocky relationship with her as a person or friend. I'm the goody-goody who does everything her mom says without question and would never think as to talk back to her. (When I do, I feel REALLY bad. I haven't been grounded since I was 9. :3 ) But if I was with Ariel, I'd probably scold her for being disobedient and running away, etc. But I do love her. She's got a lovely personality and some nice pipes.

I'm neutral about her but there are parts of the movie were I either really like her or really dislike her. If I had to chose between like or dislike I'd pick like.

Ariel doesn't really think things through and when she does it's only for her benefit and not for others. She's willing to leave behind people who love and care for her for some guy who never even met her. Plus all that stuff that her friends went through just so she could get what she wants. But I do like her curiousity and ambition (as well as her appearance, voice, and movie).

This is just my opinion though.

I agree with rhythmic magic. But, I still adore her to pieces and she's my #4. She reminds me of me, and I would make all the same mistakes she does, so its why I'm so critical of her.

I really don't like her when she's a mermaid, however as a human I really love her, she's hilarious so I can't decide if I should love her or not, I mean I don't hate her, but I don't like her either and I don't really think she's just okay so I would say it's closer to like

maryksand whatever you say, it won't change my opinion, sorry. yes, she actually had somewhere to go, there was whole kingdom out there, not to mention the village, she could just ask for help and tell them about her situation. but no, she was stupid and coward enough to return to the mansion, after the ball
compare her to Snow white. Cinderella wasn't the only abused princess. actually, Snow white had a worse life. the queen wanted her dead, and Snow knew about it. after escaping to the forest, she decided to get a new life. heck, she didn't even gave a shit about the queen, she wasn't afraid anymore. i couldn't see Cinderella doing the same, simply because she doesn't have the strenght for it. she would probably cry like Snow did, but then, return to the palace. she constantly needs someone to rescue her, she needs someone to depend on.

hajirah4 just read my explanation

pretty_angel92 I wasn't trying to change your opinion, I just believe you're not giving Cinderellacredit where credit is due. Snow White happens to be my least favourite but I actually agree with your points about her, even though unlike Cinderella who went to the ball and got her prince on her own without waiting for him, Snow White never even took action in her hands PRIOR to facing the fact of her evil stepmom trying to murder her by using another person (and the only reason why she survived was because she was pretty & innocent and the Huntsman just couldn't bear to kill her). Cinderella couldn't just knock to someone's door and say: "Hey, would you let me stay while I be your doormat?", in her situation it was by far more logical to be patient and try to the best of her ability, which she did. Snow actually entirely depended on the dwarves that were not even her family as opposed to Cinderella's stepmom an sisters. Because whether she liked it or not, Tremaine wasn't the absolute evil and her late father chose her as his wife therefore there must have been something good about her (and she definitely never attempted to kill or physically hurt Cinderella as opposed to the Evil Queen) and Cinderella tried her best to respect that. Tremaine and Evil Queen were fundamentally different and I don't see how the two situations can even be compared.
