	KataraLover picked They should both defeat her: Because Eric needs to do something heroic so he's not just some bla figure and Ariel need to fix the mess she got herself and everyone into. Plus this would add something unique for disney. Usually it's either the hero, the heroine, and sometimes the sidekick or defeats/kills the villian, never both the hero and heroine working as an equal team. Well unless you count Pongo and Perdita defeating Cruella but actually she lost because of her own stupid minons. This should've happened in my opinion. posted over a year ago.

It wouldn't fit to Ariel to win Ursula, she doesn't seem as strong and brave as Mulan, so the movie would come to an end and I would be like "Oh, what a big surprise. I can't believe Ariel did this". posted over a year ago.

Besides Ariel is very brave and strong. Besides that whole "I can't believe Ariel did this" would be kind of the point, to show how she's grown from a little girl to a strong young woman. posted over a year ago.

I don't see it, so it would be really awkward. Yes, I haven't seen the series, but I usually do not consider series or sequels, prequels, midquels etc to be what happened next, except really good ones (e.g. the lion king). posted over a year ago.

	maryksand picked It doesn't matter to me either way: Honestly, I believe that Eric and Ariel BOTH defeated Ursula because while Eric made a final strike, Ariel once again saved him when he failed to attack Ursula and she ended up killing her minions instead all due to the fact that Ariel reacted incredibly quickly and confronted Ursula. They were both fighting and risking their lives and Ariel did pretty well trying to save her father and Eric (whom she already saved previously, TWICE). posted over a year ago.
