I 사랑 디즈니 music. I 사랑 the instrumental scores as well as the jolly show tunes songs. (I'm also a sucker for classical.) So I wanted to share with 당신 guys my personal favorites 의해 score, song and overall. (I included 겨울왕국 because I would be shocked if they weren't eventually made a part of the Princess franchise even though they've been out for 2 years now.) I 사랑 all of these soundtracks and it's hard to pick so I had to use a mathematical formula based on my favorites to come up with the rankings. I provided pictures for which soundtracks I used. I almost always prefer the songs sung 의해 the original cast members over 유명인사 that get attached to every soundtrack.

12. Tangled- Score #12; Songs #11 Favorites Scores Include: Kingdom Dance; Waiting for the Lights. Favorites Songs Include: When Will My Life Begin; Mother Knows Best

11. Princess & The Frog- Score #11; Songs #10 Favorites Scores Include: Fairy Tale/Going Home; Tiana's Bad Dream. Favorites Songs Include: Down In New Orleans (Prologue); Almost There; Dig A Little Deeper.

Welcome to me ranking Fanpop's most heroic 디즈니 Princesses in my opinion!

I also want to say, this is the first time in a while that I have written a DP 기사 since I have taken a break from 팬팝 and I have been so busy. I have been on this site for two years and I am so happy to be back on here 글쓰기 a new DP article!

When ranking them 의해 how heroic they are, it was hard, because not all of them saved their country 또는 prevented a war, but there are different forms of heroism. Even helping other people with their emotions 또는 problems can be heroism. Working hard to achieve your goals is also a form of heroism. I also made the list based on ALL the films 또는 TV shows the princesses appeared in.

Please 코멘트 and feel free to share your opinions. Thanks!

I did NOT include Anna and Elsa because they are not official as 당신 know, but if I were to place them in the list...

----Anna would be 3rd and Elsa would 9

Like I stated in my last wallpost I'm about to lose my grandmother and so I decided to write an 기사 about some of the Saddest Moments in the DP 영화 in no particular order (but I'll mention my number 1 in the end of the article). So anyway hope you'll like this article

Brave: The 2nd Sunrise
I may not be a big 팬 of Brave, but this scene is sad, when I first saw this movie in the cinemas I cried during this scene and I still find this scene to be quite sad

Cinderella: The Dress Ripping Scene
This scene is so sad to watch everytime, 신데렐라 had the chance of finally getting out of the house, but then the stepsisters just ruins it 의해 ripping apart her dress, that originally belonged to her mother

Pocahontas: The Ending Scene
This is my least 가장 좋아하는 DP Movie Ending simply because it's sad, other than that it's a great scene, but yes, quite sad to watch

The Princess and The Frog: Ray's Death
Even though 레이 is one of my least 가장 좋아하는 characters in the movie this scene is so sad, pretty much everything about this scene is sad

Okay so I tried to seek others' opinions for this who connect with Merida 더 많이 than I do. I realized that there are 기사 on here for the ranking of every princess except for Merida and I didn't think there should be any reason for her to be excluded. I always found these 기사 to be so neat though so I hope the Merida-fans will appreciate this. I'm completely open to any changes with 더 많이 input.

12. Aurora: General consensus seems to be that Merida would get along with Aurora the absolute least, most likely for their opposite in characters. Aurora rates duty, grace/manners, love/romance very high while Merida has 더 많이 outward priorities. They both would've enjoyed the outdoors but Merida would enjoy activities that were 더 많이 adrenaline-based than Aurora. Also Merida would feel like Aurora just gave up on her dream/love instead of fighting for it and I don't think Merida would've been very fond of that.

11. Cinderella: Although they both felt trapped, Merida wouldn't relate to Cinderella's quiet way of handling things. Merida would've respected 신데렐라 but not shared her romantic dreamy views....

Okay so I know I got off on the wrong foot here with some users so I wanted to give a peace offering (to those who want it) 의해 telling about myself so others will get the chance to understand me and see where I am coming from. This is my attempt to:
1) Formally apologize: To those who I 로스트 my temper with, I sincerely apologize for the way I conducted myself. I truly did not come here to start arguments but to get the opinions of others. I humbly ask that 당신 forgive my passionate responses and know that I promise to work on not losing my temper. No matter how threatened 또는 attacked that I felt, I should not have responded the way that I did and I take full responsibility for that. I'd also like to single out anukriti2409; Angelica_AW & 324anna for special apologies because 당신 guys entered the conversation after things were already tense.
2) Formally introduce and expose a little about myself to the community here so 당신 guys can get to know me. It looks like there is a nice little sense of community here and I really don't want to ruin that (nor did I try to), I'd just like to be a part of it. I am not trying to offend anyone,...

"The flower that blooms in adversity is the most rare and beautiful of them all."
So while there are a lot of great things that are pointed out about the movie Mulan, there are also things that I haven't seen pointed out yet so I wanted to share.

1. Realistic Representation of Culture: I 사랑 that it is not over-Americanized and mostly stays true to Chinese and Asian culture. The most American part of the film is the fact that she thinks she can take a man's place in the army. That and Grandmother Fa's 코멘트 in general. Other than that, the movie is pretty accurate to her culture. I find this important because I don't understand the point of showing a different culture without showing the cultural differences. To me, that seems 더 많이 offensive then not attempting to show that culture at all. Basically, I'd rather not be represented than misrepresented.

2. Words of Wisdom and Value of the Self/Independent along with the Collective Community: "One single grain of 쌀 can tip the scale. One man may be the difference between victory and defeat." What a great message. I know many people who feel like their one voice isn't enough but this was a great way to conceptualize why we need to...

Well, Ali Baba had them forty thieves,

But master you're in luck, 'cause up your sleeves
You've got a brand of magic never fails

You've got some power in your corner now!
Some heavy ammunition in your camp!
당신 got some punch, pizzaz, yahoo and how.
See, all 당신 gotta do is rub that lamp, and I'll say:

"Mr. Aladdin, sir, what will your pleasure be?
Let me take your order, jot it down?"

Come on whisper what it is 당신 want;

Prince Ali, yes it is he
But not as 당신 know him
Read my lips and come to grips with reality
Yes, meet a blast from your past
Whose lies were too good to last
Say hello to your precious Prince Ali!

So Ali turns out to be merely Aladdin
Just a con, need I go on?
Take it from me
His personality flaws
Give me adequate cause
To send him packing on a one-way trip
So his prospects take a terminal dip
His assets frozen, the venue chosen
Is the ends of the earth - whoopee!
So long, ex-Prince Ali!

This was the solo 재스민 속, 재 스민 was originally going to sing in Aladdin. It is included in the Broadway adaptation <3.

"Call Me A Princess" is a song intended to be sung 의해 Princess 재스민 속, 재 스민 in Aladdin. In her early development she was supposed to be a typical, spoiled, bratty princess, and this song focused in on that. The developers scrapped the idea along with this song to make 재스민 속, 재 스민 the headstrong, compassionate woman we know today. If this song wasn't deleted it would have been the first solo song sung 의해 Jasmine, but now that 제목 belongs to the song I've Got My Eyes on You.

The song was resurfaced in 2011 for the 알라딘 musical, though the story behind the song has changed. Instead of 재스민 속, 재 스민 being a spoiled brat, the song was used 의해 the princess to scare off suitors.

Call me a princess, I don't care
Call me obsessed with nails and hair
Only concerned with what to wear
Shallow and so blase

Go ahead, call me "royal pain"

Saw an old 질문 게시됨 from a 년 이전 that inspired me to write this. The 질문 was about which 디즈니 Princesses might make best friends, in pairs, based on commonalities. As I started to think about it, I found all of the commonalities to be quite interesting. So I decided to post my findings of commonalities (not go for the BFF route) just because I found it interesting what the princesses had so much in common. Hope 당신 guys do too:

Snow & Aurora:
Both were royal but fled to the forest to escape their villains. Both were put under a sleeping spell. Both like to dance and initiate dancing. Both like to sing and dance with their forest animal friends. Both met their prince in a middle of a song and were serenaded to 의해 their prince.

신데렐라 & Belle:
Both came from decent families and 로스트 their mothers early on. Both had bigger dreams than they were told to have (wanted a better life). Both married into royalty and both had no human friends. Both were a voice of reason around others.

Since I'm being so villainous, it seemed like an appropriate time to share MY OPINIONS on DP 영화 villains and rank them in order. (Joke intended :D)

So here goes:

1. Maleficent:
with her one nasty evil stroke, she set the stage, She didn't dabble in small time efforts. Her character is the most alluring and unique. She was a fairy, but an evil one. She has the aura of an enchantress. I loved her confidence when she took the stage while casting out the spell.
The best villainy traits: downright evil, need no disguise, doesn't flaunt but does every act confidently and with most style.

2. Mother Gothel:
I loved the way she took the girl and raised her as her own daughter and conditioned her mind to believe that the outside world is a dangerous place. With this, she ensured Rapunzel's gift will stay with her for long long time. She could have kept her as a slave but was cunning enough to have a long term vision that sooner 또는 later Rapunzel might turn against her and will keep trying to escape.

Ok so I saw a talented user here post an 기사 about the Bechdel Test and being the Walt geek that I am, was immediately inspired to do a Walt 디즈니 Test.

Walt 디즈니 was unfortunately only alive to fully see over the production and release of Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty which are known as the "Classic Princesses". For this reason, I took everything in common that I could find with these 3 princesses for relevancy to rate the others. The 14 commonalities I found were: 1.) Beautiful Face 2.) In Shape Body 3.) Soft/Sweet Speaking Voice 4.) 노래 Voice 5.) Dance Scene [Solo 또는 with Others] 6.) Modest Clothing 7.) Innocent Virtues (Kind, Modest, Reserved, Humble) 8.) Animal Friend 또는 Pet 9.) Marry the Prince [& Live Happily Ever After] 10.) There is Magic Involved in Their Story 11.) Female Villain 12.) Born/Married into Royalty 13.) Wear a Head/Hair Piece 14.) Have the Color Blue in at Least 1 Outfit

So, since the majority of the princesses have been made post-Walt's death without his supervision and approval, which ones would still meet his standards? The purpose of this is to see which princesses are the most up to what [b] Walt...

I feel a change of tone is in order. For this article, I am showcasing 4 of my absolute favourite 디즈니 Princess 팬 art collections. Feel free to write your own <3

4. Disney/Avatar Crossovers 의해 Racookie3

Avatar/Legend of Korra are without a doubt the best TV shows I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Because of that, I immediately fell in 사랑 with these beautiful 십자가, 크로스 over pieces. The Pocahontas airbender is spot on, and the 재스민 속, 재 스민 firebender is visually stunning! Look at the colours!

Credit to: http://braveandboldthinking.com/2014/03/25/unveiling-the-truth-about-muslim-women/
First: Here is a link from an actual Muslim woman with her thoughts on how Muslim women are portrayed in America in general.link

Second: Here is my personal break-down analysis based on knowledge of Arab/Muslim culture compared to the 디즈니 알라딘 film.

The majority of Princess Jasmine's numerous flaws stem from the fact that she is completely inaccurate and offensive to her culture. From the clothes she wears to the way she speaks, 재스민 속, 재 스민 does not represent Arab 또는 Muslim women at all but rather a disgraceful woman in their culture. Unfortunately, 재스민 속, 재 스민 is not a suitable role model for young girls.

1. 재스민 속, 재 스민 is dressed like a Harem girl instead of a princess. A princess is the daughter of the king who no man is allowed to touch without the king's approval. A harem girl is one of the king's many mistresses. No king would dress his daughter like his mistress. No father would want to see his daughter dressed in that way.

Tiana- The Under-rated

When Princess and the Frog came out it got people talking. Not only is Tiana a trailblazer for being the first African American Princess, but she was the first princess to independently have jobs and dedication to pursue a realistic career, I get that not every little girl dreams of having a business and they’d rather have the sparkly 겉옷, 가운 but I had hopes that Tiana would inspire them to come up with realistic goals. But .......she was not as loved as I thought . Also , some people ( SOME ONLY ) dislike her for her color tone !!!!!!!

Mulan- The Very Underrated

Now , she not underrated on 팬팝 but outside , SHE IS . Few people dislike her because she is not a technical princess . Now its not necessary that DP has to be royal !!! Also , little girls don't appreciate her as much as others .

Pocahontas- The Very Underrated

Many people find her boring......very boring . Her movie was deep and emotional , its lack of entertainment was the reason it didn't attracted viewers and that is why she is not much 인기 .

This face honestly sums up how I felt when I read that article.
I know that this is my 초 기사 in a week but there are some things that I just have to say.
A lot of 당신 know that I'm a very big 겨울왕국 팬 and seeing that there's going to be a sequel for it made me really happy, but also anxious.Because of that,I started fantasizing about what the sequel should be about.I fantasized about it being like The Hunchback of Notre Dame where they'll take a lot of chances and try to represent some mature subject matters.Or like the show called 아바타 where they give us likable and relatable characters that we can gravitate to while watching them go on a journey that would ultimately change who they are at the end.
However, after 읽기 an article,my hopes started to fall apart. In that 기사 it's stated that they will show a 더 많이 playful side of Elsa. And I was like "You have got to be kidding". If 당신 don't know why,you should check out some of my older articles.
Because of that,I've decided to make this 기사 to express what I want to see in the sequel for Frozen.

If the 디즈니 Princesses were Housewives on Wisteria Lane, which house would be theirs? [If 당신 are a Desperate Housewives fan, I included who lived there from the show if anyone did.]

1. Snow White: 4350

This house is a nice beige color, between white (her skin) and yellow (her skirt). It has a gazebo style balcony that fits perfectly for her and her prince to dance around and sing to each other in. [Martha Huber/Felicia Tillman/Andrew VandeKamp]

2. Cinderella: 4354

This house is a beautiful big blue house, just like her beautiful big blue(ish) dress. It's like a palace but still with a cozy humble touch. Perfect to match her new life. [Bree VandeKamp]

3. Aurora: 4362

This is a very nice polished 담홍색, 핑크 house that fits perfectly with her graceful, feminine and poised personality. [Edie Britt/Renee Perry]

4. Ariel: 4348

What if all of the 디즈니 Princes were from American cities? Which ones would they be from? (*Note, I comprised this list of where they would be born and raised from not where they would be most suited as a free choosing adult. That is another list.)

Floridian: Cape May, New Jersey
Because it is traditional and very romantic and serene.

Henry: Chicago, Illinois
Because it is the center of the mid-west. Perfect combination of traditional with some progressive and completely balanced.

Phillip: Miami, Florida
Because it is a laid-back and playful place.

Eric: Los Angeles, California
Because it is the biggest port town.

Adam: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Because it is an aggressive and violent place.

Aladdin: New York, New York

What if all of the 디즈니 Princesses were American and lived in American cities? Which ones would they choose to live in? (*Note, I comprised this list of where they would want to live as a free choosing adult, not where they would have been born and raised. That is another list.)

Snow White: Phoenix, Arizona
Because there is a large elderly population there so Snow could help them like she did the dwarves. She is also a conservative princess that I think would enjoy living out under the stars in a 더 많이 traditional place.

Cinderella: Minneapolis-St.Paul, Minnesota
Because it is a city rich in culture and education. Nice museums and tourist attractions but also very nice, humble, productive and friendly like Cinderella's personality.

Aurora: Denver, Colorado
Because it is a 더 많이 corporate high end type place but also conservative and Aurora is very modest and traditional.

If any of 당신 are familiar with character stylization 또는 really art in general 당신 might like this article. I'm talking about character stylization in the sense that when the artist is also the author of the character's personality and has written out their every thought in simply the way they are designed. This can also be called "interpreted art" as anyone can perceive it differently, but a common factor still remains that everyone agrees on. BASICALLY I'm going to "guess" what the princess' personality is like based on the way she's drawn, see what the general consensus is on her personality is and compare it to the artist's (strictly NOT the writer 또는 director's) original idea of what they wanted the princess to come off as. And if this is at all interesting to 당신 당신 can look up this with different artists 의해 searching it as "the artist's definition of their work" and maybe 당신 can find this with other characters.

P.S I know I had to do a lot of digging on the older movies, because of the lack of documentation, so good luck on the ones post 1980's!

Hi everyone! I recently learned about the Bechdel Test from a friend and have been wanting to write this 기사 ever since. This test is, at its core, an analysis of how women are portrayed in 인기 culture. It reveals how much women tend to revolve around men in films, books, etc. To pass the test, a film (or any other work of fiction) must meet three requirements: the film must (1) have at least two named female characters (2) who talk to each other (3) about something other than a man. It seems so simple, right? Unfortunately a surprising number of films fail in at least one of these aspects. Well now it's time to see how our beloved 디즈니 Princess 영화 stack up when put to the test!

[i]Disclaimer: This 기사 is not meant to bash any of the films 또는 say that they are "anti-feminist," nor do I necessarily think that this test is the best way to determine if a film is "feminist" 또는 not. I simply thought it would be fun to see which 영화 pass the test. 당신 can find a lot of info on the Bechdel Test online, including different versions and criticisms of it. I am using a slightly 더 많이 strict version which requires the two female characters to be...

Moana follows the adventure of spirited teenager Moana Waialiki (set to be Disney's first Polynesian princess) who sails out on a daring mission to prove herself a master wayfinder and fulfill her ancestors’ unfinished quest. Three thousand years ago, the greatest sailors in the world voyaged across the vast South Pacific, discovering the many islands of Oceania. But then, for a millennium, their voyages stopped — and no one today knows why.

During her journey, she meets the once-mighty demi-god Maui (voice of Dwayne Johnson), and together, they traverse the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous fiery creatures and impossible odds.

Like most of the modern era 디즈니 Princess movies, Moana will be CG-Animated. The film is to be directed 의해 John Musker and Ron Clements, who were both the directors of Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and The Princess and the Frog. This will be Musker and Clements' first fully computer-animated film.
