Some people say he's forgettable but I think people automatically dismiss him just because he's not dramatic, theatrical and "hammy" like other 디즈니 villains. I personally think he's pretty badass and ruthless.
Shan Yu is actually kind of similar to 뮬란 in that while everyone agrees that they both do remarkable things, some people think their personalities are on the boring side but I think it's unfair to dismiss any princess who isn't overtly dreamy, bubbly 또는 feisty in some way (Mulan) and any villain who isn't over the 상단, 맨 위로 and in your face (Shan Yu) as boring. There are other ways to be villainous.
Shan Yu is aloof and calculating, he does the most psychotic horrific actions with an effortless demeanor. He's not the deepest character but similar to Lady Tremaine, we're not really supposed to understand 또는 empathize with him, we're just supposed to find him intimidating. And unlike Tremaine, he has way 더 많이 power at his disposal and uses it to devastating effect.
Compared to say the Evil 퀸 또는 Maleficent who have a lot of power but don't really use it all that wisely. They have the archetypical villain look but honestly they're kinda "all style, very little substance". Maleficent has hundreds of minions at her disposal but she never got them to master one simple task, finding Aurora, and the only reason she ultimately found her was because of the fairies' slip up, even her magic can easily be weakened 의해 the fairies.
Shan Yu on the other hand, he looks the part, he talks the talk and he walks the walk. He has entire army of killers who are just as vicious and unstoppable as he is. The amount of damage he unleashes, how close he comes to victory, how he uses both brute force and wit to accomplish his goals. He doesn't think twice about taking innocent lives, young and old.
While he isn't as dramatic as other villains, he's still a little self indulgent, he could have easily won if he wasn't so obsessed with trying to get the Emperor to bow to him. Hell, the only reason he's attacking China is because he wants to prove his strength. He has petty motivations like a lot of other villains but few can match his actual capabilities. He is one bad mofo.

Evermore
I first heard Josh Groban's rendition of this wonderful song, he nailed the song perfectly and I heard it played twice at the lobby at my hotel in Hanoi, Vietnam on way back to the airport twice.
Initially, I thought he was going to dub Dan Stevens, until I heard the latter. Prompting me to surprise and that he followed his Downton Abbey costar, Lily James who played the 제목 character in the 2015 reboot of Cinderella.
How Does A Moment Last Forever?
Upon listening to this song 의해 Celine Dion, I felt that this song really 슈츠 my personality as well as my relationship with my family.
I 사랑 how Maurice sang a short reprise at the beginning, it really explores his character more. This is something that I really cherish!
Which Way?
So, which of these 2 songs are your favourites?
1. Bergamasca (Marco Ucellini)
This 음악 will be best, especially for the 3 classical princesses. It is very gentle and smooth when they dance with their princes.
2. Johann Strauss II's Waltzes
In fact, many of his waltz are quite 인기 and it would definitely be 인기 among the princesses themselves.
3. Joseph Lanner's Die Schonbrunner Waltz
Initially, I thought that it was compose 의해 Strauss, but it is actually his rival Joseph Lanner.
4. Frederick Chopin's Waltz Music
I also 사랑 his music, his waltz is also another favourite for the 디즈니 Princesses themselves.
A Toast!
Do 당신 agree with my choice, if 당신 do go ahead and listen to them.
