I started this 기사 "series" almost a 년 ago, but abandoned my fandoms for a while (very sorry to the people who were looking 앞으로 to it), but now I'm back and want to continue the 기사 (hopefully consistently), please enjoy!

If any of 당신 are familiar with character stylization 또는 really art in general 당신 might like this article. I'm talking about character stylization in the sense that when the artist is also the author of the character's personality and has written out their every thought in simply the way they are designed. This can also be called "interpreted art" as anyone can perceive it differently, but a common factor still remains that everyone agrees on. BASICALLY I'm going to "guess" what the princess' personality is like based on the way she's drawn, see what the general consensus is on her personality is and compare it to the artist's (strictly NOT the writer 또는 director's) original idea of what they wanted the princess to come off as. And if this is at all interesting to 당신 당신 can look up this with different artists 의해 searching it as "the artist's definition of (their work)" and maybe 당신 can find this with other characters.

P.S I know I had to do a lot of digging on the older movies, because of the lack of documentation, so good luck on the ones post 1980's!

Cinderella -- Cinderella

At this point in time 디즈니 had established itself as a beloved children's 애니메이션 studio, however the studio was bankrupt at the time with Cinderella, seemingly, about to be the last animated feature to come out, because of this Cinderella's staff, especially animators, were low-budget. Eventually the honor of Cinderella's 디자인 (influenced 의해 Mary Blair's artwork) was bestowed upon Marc Davis with Eric Larson and Les Clark as supervising animators.

Walt 디즈니 had chosen Marc Davis specifically, because Mary Blair's art suggested softer lines and Davis was someone he new was very good with making soft characters, mostly do to his 이전 creations like Bambi and Katrina 봉고차, 반 Tassel. In fact, around the studio he mostly animated 동물 and 신데렐라 was his 초 time animating a human character (with Alice, Aurora and 팅커벨 soon to come).

Davis' 가장 좋아하는 concept piece

Marc Davis was very fond of the "simple country girl" aspect for her design, but he wanted aspects of her to be beautiful to "really offset the ugliness of the step-sisters."
In many early concepts of 신데렐라 she has hardly any features in attempt to match the Mary Blair art style, but eventually she started gaining 더 많이 detailed features with Davis favoring the sketches in which she had two plats on each side of her head.

Of course the live-action reference model had a lot to do with how Cinderella's hair and outfits eventually turned out, in fact 디즈니 himself liked the model's style and 연기 for reference and wanted her image nearly copied; However Davis didn't much care for her structure and designed 신데렐라 의해 her voice actor instead of the model.

The 질문 is: Does her finale form encompass the feeling the animator wanted for her character?

All in all I believe what he was trying to convey with Cinderella's looks is almost a chic country southern 벨 type of look, but covered with a messy and simple exterior, keeping her face light and regal, but still hinting that she sweats and works hard. The mental image I get in my head is Snow White with messy ponytails and dirt on her face, but still naturally pretty. Personality-wise I feel it'd be closer to Jessie from Toy Story 또는 Danielle from Ever After, which 신데렐라 doesn't really have since it's much closer to Snow White.

Based on what I got from what he said and his concept art I feel like she turned out a bit too clean-cut and graceful like Belle. I think the "natural beauty" is definitely there seeing as 신데렐라 wears no make-up with no harsh lines 또는 accessories, but I feel that the "country" aspect is lost, she doesn't really look too "girl" like 또는 "on the ranch," instead she actually leans 더 많이 towards a 더 많이 mature and graceful look.

Cinderella's outfit, though is very true to form it's simple and maid-like and looks like she takes care of all of the work and spends time in the farm, the fact that it isn't very flattering brings out the beauty beneath the rags which is definitely Davis' vision (and of course the theme of Cinderella). I do think it's a bit too maid-like though, and isn't something like an outdoor stable-hand outfit, (or closer to a milk-maid look) instead it gives me a 1940's housewife vibe.

I think his concepts can definitely be seen in the final product, but, for me, I don't think it fully encompasses what he was going for especially since his contribution to this version of 신데렐라 was going to be a 더 많이 "simple country girl" type, which instead comes across as a similar "regal dainty southern bell."

So what do 당신 think; does 신데렐라 perfectly embody what 당신 think her animator was going for, 또는 do 당신 think she's way off? Do 당신 agree with me? Would 당신 have preferred the animator's original idea 또는 what she turned out like? Tell me what you're thinking in the comments, especially tell me if you'd like to see 더 많이 (since I started this so long ago).
Okay so some of 당신 might have read link. At the time, it seemed to me like there was a group of very intolerant users who would only be offended if I wrote such an article. (Weird, I know, since many people write this 기사 but I still didn't want the tension 또는 drama.) Since I wasn't sure how to write a "physically beautiful" list without offending anyone, I didn't write that 기사 and wrote one that I thought had better ideals: an 사무용 겉옷, 전반적인 attraction with looks, personality and demeanor combined. That being said, I do 사랑 the fairy tale versions of Princesses who were always the "most...

So here is the Part 2 to my musical countdown: Scores. I 사랑 디즈니 음악 and I honestly 사랑 the scores over the songs. They have all of the "magic Disney" feel that I absolutely adore. Also, I 사랑 how the scores can provide a blend of the different songs from it's respective films as well as stir up all of the emotions and/or memories from it's respective scene(s). For those reasons, this list was much harder for me to make than Part 1: Songs, but I managed to finish! As I mentioned before, I cannot get enough from the musical team of Alan Menken and Howard...

Positive Messages
As some of 당신 might be able to tell, I have been in a very musical mood lately. Along those themes, I wanted to make 2 음악 countdowns: 1 for Songs and 1 for Scores. I 사랑 Disney's music, especially from the team of Alan Menken & Howard Ashman. I almost never like covers of DP songs 의해 디즈니 Pop stars so unless otherwise mentioned, all versions here are the original ones from the film. Here are my rankings for 가장 좋아하는 songs:

I have recently learned that the red hair is a recessive gene and will eventually die out in centuries to come. To think of it, it is very sad as I absolutely 사랑 the fiery reds. So this 기사 is inspired from this recent learning and to dedicate to my favourite hairstyle among all princesses.

13. Cinderella:
I hated putting her so down, especially she being my 3rd favourite princess. I hate the length of her hair, its like neither here nor there. I'd say, being a house maid, the 조랑말 with simple tie-band suited her purpose. I actually liked her cute little braids in the morning. But when...

Okay so I have read multiple places on here that "Ariel just left her family for some guy she barely knew" and variations thereof. I coincidentally enough just watched this film within the last 월 and remember it very freshly so I would like to contribute my opinion on this matter. First though, I would like to remind people: These 디즈니 Princess films do not take place in a modern time and setting. Most of them take place over a 100 years 이전 and are during a time when most people were dead 의해 40 and half weren't even making it that long. To put it in perspective, the equivalent of a woman...

Saw an old 질문 게시됨 from a 년 이전 that inspired me to write this. The 질문 was about which 디즈니 Princesses might make best friends, in pairs, based on commonalities. As I started to think about it, I found all of the commonalities to be quite interesting. So I decided to post my findings of commonalities (not go for the BFF route) just because I found it interesting what the princesses had so much in common. Hope 당신 guys do too:

Snow & Aurora:
Both were royal but fled to the forest to escape their villains. Both were put under a sleeping spell. Both like to dance and initiate...

This was reposted due to an unwanted and frankly annoying troll spamming my last article

Over the years, I've noticed that people really HATE Aurora in Keys To The Kingdom from 디즈니 Princess 마법에 걸린 사랑 Tales: Follow Your Dreams. I've honestly never understood the hate she received, mainly because no one ever freaking EXPLAINS it! I've always asked and they just say "SHE SUCKS," 또는 "SHE'S A GIRLY STEREOTYPE," 또는 "SHE HAS A POP VOICE," and all that but they don't EXPLAIN! The reason this version of Aurora is so hated is even less explained than the plot holes in Frozen. First of all, Enchanted...

디즈니 sequels. The base-breakers of the 디즈니 fandom. Some 사랑 them, some hate them. Some think they bring new perspectives to beloved characters, while others think they ruthlessly destroy and twist every aspect of the original movie. Well, one thing must be admitted: they were made with the intent to 우유 더 많이 money for the franchise. But does that make all of them necessarily bad? No, but it does not make for a good start, really.

I think "The 마법에 걸린 사랑 Christmas" is proof of this. Having seen it yesterday, I can attest it has a lot of "pros" and "cons", which makes for a mixed bag. So...

Please note that this is a countdown where we users make a lot of assumptions and don't provide proof of anything. This is for the amusement so please don't kill the fun :)

11. Prince
The Prince from Snow White comes in last place, can't say I'm stunned. At that time, 디즈니 animators haven't mastered drawing male characters yet so I'm guessing what's underneath isn't HD quality either. He's also quite feminine looking, petite frame with soft edges. No worries though, Snow White loves his man for his huuuuuuuge 심장 :)

10. Charming
Nope, still not quite there with drawing men. Charming...
