This 기사 is about THE LOOPHOLE the writers created for Stefan’s sake another reason to keep him as “Saint” Stefan and for him not take any kind of responsibility, another excuse for him to play the “good” brother.

So as we all know Stefan has turned off his humanity all summer willingly/all 의해 himself, NO compellation what so ever NOBODY FORCED him to CUT people’s head OFF, and for him to do that his humanity button was OFF but yet somehow he still had enough humanity to call Elena really?? How is that even possible? How a good person ripe off someone’s head for one second, and kills somebody and the 다음 he’s calling in tears. It’s confusing was his humanity button off 또는 on?? If it was on than Stefan is 더 많이 messed up because how can he do that to a human being? And if it was off then why call in tears?? This the first example how the writers messed up the whole humanity button thing, what a “riper” story the writer couldn’t even follow through for one episode.

Then comes the whole Klaus compelled Stefan, the loophole that makes Stefan scot free, the writers gave Stefan a big pass, is now whatever he does 또는 say is excused because he’s compelled to do them he’s compelled it’s not his fault. (They screwed that up, where’s the riper that the writers promised us) fine we let that disaster slide, we accepted that Stefan is a horrible person now because he’s FORCED TO BE ok fine, but in 3x06 he catches Elena from falling and all of sudden “OMG did u see he still has his humanity” HOW THE HELL HE have humanity if he is FORCED NOT TURN HIS HUMANITY BUTTON OFF? Because until that moment he has been a jerk for the whole episode he played bloody twister, killed two people (the girls that where in the end of the stairs), threaten Alaric, teased Elena and called her A BLOOD BAG, and all of sudden he his humanity he is FORCED NOT to have human feelings.

Then comes 3x07 with the whole Lexie “detoxing” him from the human blood, um…. Hello his blood lust is not the ONLY problem, HIS HUMANITY IS OFF he was mean to Elena in the begging of the episode, and many 팬 said he looked like he was about to cry HOW HE CAN CRY IF HIS HUMANITY IS OFF. Stefan’s humanity button is FORCED OFF which means he CAN NOT TURN IT OFF & ON WHEN HE WANTS TO because it’s compelled to be off. 당신 cannot say he STILL HAS HUMANITY because he FORCED NOT TO FEEL IT, And the fact that the writers showing 당신 “glimpse of his humanity” is ridicules because they have set the rules from the begging when 당신 are compelled 의해 an original 당신 CAN’T BREAK THEIR COMEPLLTION.

To make my point the writers better get their story right NOW because it’s NOT fair to gave Stefan YET ANOTHER LOOPHOLE.

Ianrocks Tell me about it. It's like everything he does will always have a get out of jail card. First Miss mystic falls. They say that being on a blood-bender for 30 years will do that to you, so therefore he is overpowered by the lust. What a load of crap! 3x01: "He had no choice. Klaus told him to that or otherwise his trust would be broken and Damon would be in trouble. So he had to" Pieces of bullshit. 3x05: He had to do that in order to protect Elena and his brother. Plus he had no choice. Scattered crap! 3x06: Oh come on, the guy finally gets to do things on his own; so what if he played twister by bitting people? And at the end you could totally see him fighting to break the compulsion when he caught her. The raw passion that they shared was unlike anyother. Are you Shxtting me? People are so fucking blind these days. And they are not turning Stefan into Damon. Damon did this all on his own. He was the true bad boy of the series and still is. His kills were for love, and sometime to send off a warning to others not to piss him off. Stefan did this out of guilt. He killed his father, then started drinking more blood then he needed to hide the guilt of that. And even though he was trying to be bad, he was just a sicko. Seriously? Making someone drink his wifes blood? That's not bad that's just fucking sick. And the girls, he got that from Damon's houseparties. And the body parts... well that dude is just sick to the core. He did not do it for love, he processed Katherine's "death" half a day she was gone. 1x20. Damon: "We have to be smart and keep moving like Katherine did" Stefan: "And look where that got her" Back to topic: Stefan did this all on his own. So blaming Damon for what he does and saying "Damon would have done worst" does not hide the facts that Stefan did worst things. And the writers are trying way to hard with the ripper thing. They are trying so hard that now it's just pathetic and over used (house girl, threaten Rick, using girls as personal blood bags) Damon did all that thing in one episode.
20cosmogirl maybe its because like rose said after a while you can't turn off your emotions anymore and just have to pretend.

HaleyDewit The writers did screw up with the whole ripper thing. It's like they're too chicken to let Stefan take any responsibility for his actions. Well, I can tell you this much, it does not make for a lovable character.
delenaloverx7 It's so unfair. I think the writers are afraid to make Stefan go truly bad. Maybe they think his fans wouldn't like him anymore? I don't know. I just wish they would make him a real Ripper already. But I've completely given up hope that they will. I can only hope that Elena will be as confused over whether Stefan still has humanity as we are :P lol

eve_k The ripper thing for me really does seem to not be working at all....Stefan is not believable and it is sad because they could have made it a huge hit,had they handelled it correctlly...Great article!!
Theawfultruth The whole thing is a fake to preserve the golden halo of stefan so they show he can be '' redemedd ' he can be 'saved'. How pathetic was lexi looking into stefans eyes and elenas speech to stefan, its over used and a failed attempt to promote stefan, this story line will work on the younger ones who watch the show but not the older ones Nicely written article !
DelenaFan93 I agree with you 100%! When Stefan catched Elena from falling, everyone kept saying "He still cares for her!" Pah-lease! He was compelled to look after her for Klaus, which means, HE HAD TO KEEP HER SAFE FOR KLAUS! JUST FOR KLAUS! Great article, by the way!

I couldn't stop laughing while reading cause now that I remember all those scenes it all seems pretty ridiculous:)) And guys do you remember 3x01...:"Hello brother" from Stefan lol.All I can say EPIC FAIL!!!! Did the writers actually tried to COMPARE Stefan with Damon back in the days when he was bad?!WTF?! Oh wait!!!Damon was NEVER the badboy!He was always in control of himself. And that's the think with Why we all love DAMON. It's because he doesn't have a switch...he has embraced his dark side the ripper side of a vampire and combined it with his personality. And God...Trying to make Stefan The Ripper...Similar with S1 Damon is just wrong.Probably the writers thought S would get more fans?!? But they don't get this:Damon is just cool and amazing the way he naturally is.In S1 he wasn't trying to be cool by killing people and being a badass...He just was!!!That is smth I can't say about Stefan..You can see how hard he is trying to imitate Damon's character.Specially in the end of Ep5 S3...The way he was walking and being ironic!GOD...All I could think about was:"Hey bro!You are not the big bad wolf in town!"
