I woke up to the pale morning sun in my eyes and a hand on my shoulder.
“Please wake up now, Miss.” A gentle voice remarked.
“But I’m tired,” I buried my face in my pillow.
“The young master would like to see you,”
I looked up at the speaker and found the Phantomhive gardener, Finny.
“Oh, hi Finny.” I suddenly felt guilty, 연기 so grumpy. “Tell the Earl Phantomhive I’ll be down in a minute.” I used a mocking term when I said that.
“Ok, I will. Mey-rin has some clothes for 당신 in the wardrobe over there.” Finny smiled and walked out.
I walked over to the wardrobe and selected a blue and black dress. Stupid Ciel. Why does he think I’m such a child? He’s the one stuck in the body of a 13-year-old.
My thoughts were interrupted 의해 the window creaking open and, none other than the red-headed shinigami himself, Grell Sutcliff, crashing into the room. I screamed in embarrasment and covered my half-naked body with my blanket. “Oh, dammit! I thought this was Sebas-chan’s room!” Grell inspected the room disappointedly, and his eyes met mine. “Get…out…NOW!!!!!!” I yelled. “Oops! Sorry, Twilight. I’ll just be on my way then.” Grell pivoted on his heels and strutted out of the room.
I felt the blush leave my face as I finished dressing myself. That was…unexpected. I was totally about to say “weird”, but out of respect for Grell, I didn’t. I walked downstairs in a nonchalant way.
I found Ciel in his office with Sebastian not to far away. “Ciel,” I sat down in front of his 책상, 데스크 in a velvet-lined chair. “Sister,” Ciel responded blandly, with a hint of a sneer in his tone.
“Can I ask 당신 a question?”
“I’m listening.”
“Why do 당신 resent me? How come every time I’m around you’re sad? Ever since-” I stopped, remembering the heat of the flames, passionately burning, fueled 의해 hatred. I didn’t want to speak of the subject, and I got the feeling neither did Ciel.
“Because 당신 remind me too much of the past…I couldn’t heal your wounds… I couldn’t protect you…” Ciel looked up with pained eyes, tears escaping from his uncovered eye. I met his eyes before walking to his side. “We’re going to Hell, why not enjoy the ride?” I smiled through tears, wrapping my arms around him.
Sebastian’s eyes seemed to glisten at the mention of Hell. I must have insulted his hometown 또는 something. “Please don’t lie to me again,” I step back from Ciel, “Ever.”
“I won’t.” Ciel looked at me, then at Sebastian, “I want tea.”
“Yes, my lord.” Sebastian walked out swiftly.
I said a short goodbye to Ciel and went to the library. Enough 책 here, I thought. There must be something about it here. I browsed through the letters until I reached ‘S’. Nothing about this “Stein” that supposedly killed my mother. I walked back to the card catalog, hoping it will help. Nothing.
I walked out of the library, hoping to find Grell. He must know something. Finally, in Sebastian’s room, was Grell. “Grell?” I called to him from the doorway.
“Yes?” The shinigami looked over at me, grinning.
“I need to know about the man who killed my mother.”
