Avril Lavigne announces new single

I love that song :)

I figured that out, still I thought that after "What the hell", she would have gone a little more soft with something like "Wish you were here", instead of another fun song. Well, I still love it sfm, so I'm thrilled to see the video!

Man, RCA needs to screw off. Seriously.

I love Smile, and it's one of my favorite songs on the album, but for her sake, she really should've gone with Push, or even better would be Wish You Were Here IMO. People who aren't big enough fans will think that Goodbye Lullaby is just like The Best Damn Thing, being that the first two singles are upbeat and fun. Hopefully she'll release at least two or three slower, more meaningful songs on this album in the future.

^ Exactly my thoughts. But apparently Avril chose Smile as the single? That's what I heard anyway. I highly doubt it, she said she wanted Push I thought.

There's also new on Avrilbandaids that Wish You Were Here and Smile will both be 2nd singles but just in different places. I think WYWH is the Singapore single or something, I don't know.

I actually think Push would have flopped as a second single, maybe as the 3rd or 4th single would be good :) I think WYWH should be 2nd. It would do great! It's already selling on itunes without any promo :)

Ugh. RCA is trying to be more "today", but Avril doesn't want that. I love Smile so much, but its upbeat, like WTH. Many people will not like it as a single. I would love if WYWH is the next single, because it kinda sounds like Avril's older songs, and if she releases it, then it would get a lot of support, because people that are fans of LG would probably listen to Avril again.

Push is a great option too, espicailly because Evan is in the song too! she should definitely release either WYWH or Push.

^ Exactly. I would hope she at least releases both of them later on, if not more of the slower songs.

@emmett: The article said Avril wanted Push, but RCA thought differently.
