Personally, I love it. We need women of differing predispositions on this show. Not just inherently evil. There is this marked bullshit mode where women are most often depicted as either fucked up Vestal Virgins or Satan's right hand. Somewhere in the middle is truth.So yeah,bring it.

I just saw this too, Jen, and I THINK it's a good thing. Wow. So much is going to be going on this coming season. Wonder what's going to be up with her and Gwaine? Love/hate relationship, hmmm.

Don't get me wrong I love that another female is introduce, I wish there were more women of strength and integrity on the show, I guess what I meant to say was I just don't want that they write Gwen as a "damsel in distress" when we know she is quite capable of looking after herself, mentally, physically, emotionally, that's all, and I'd still like to see Gwen fight along side of Arthur, Merlin and the Knights.

Seems like there's so much going on this season. How will they fit all of this in 13 episodes?

I don't want them to write Gwen as a "damsel in distress" either. She's more than capable of taking care of herself. Angel has been talking about wanting Gwen to learn how to use a sword for years, so why won't they just let her? Maybe this bodyguard will be the one to teach Gwen how to fight. If that's the case then I won't mind it so much although I wanted Arthur to be the one to teach her.

Thank you for that info. I will be fun to have a woman part of the boys. Not afraid of kicking ass, can stand up to the guys. Love it. Angel said, in interview, that she would love to see Gwen with a sword. Maybe Amgel will get a wish, her body guard will probably show her how to use it. Arthur would be proud or even more in love with her, seeing her defend herself. Also, Deidre will have love/hate relatioship with Gwaine. Interesting. Poor Stacey, you have definitely competition now, lol.

Just googled it and Deirdre was a character in Irish legend who died of a broken heart. That sounds more romantic.
