아니메 Article: My Review Of Sailor Moon(Edit)

Before I get started I'll like to get a few things out of the way. First of all, I'm going to make a lot of rants about this 아니메 since it's one of my least favourite animes. Second, I am only reviewing the classic 아니메 nothing will be judged from the 망가 ,crystal,SuperS, etc.(meaning only up to episode 127) This review is pretty much me having a blast ripping this thing apart one 의해 one until an angered 팬 decides to give me a piece of their mind. In other words if 당신 hate this show too, this will be an enjoyable review/rant for you. If don't you'll probably hate me. With all of that out of the way let's begin.

When I started this anime, I truly expected that I would enjoy it but, I guess I was wrong this
is actually too cheesy and predictable to be called good quality. Especially since 더 많이 than half of the 아니메 is basically action show cliches. The villains try to get control,destroy kingdoms 또는 anything else that is a generic and evil goal. The heroine/hero falls in 사랑 with a attractive person, and ends up with that person. The villains usually have no depth apart from being evil 또는 the villains decide they don’t want to be evil because of love. The Heroines/heroes always have things going their way, etc. This show is almost identical to it’s brother “The Original Power Rangers ”. Pretty much everything is skippable, there’s rarely anything new added into the anime. Even as 당신 continue to watching it feels like 당신 are watching the same bland episode over and over. The formal stays the same through the whole series with only slight changes and trust me that gets annoying very fast. Especially if what 당신 started out with was very generic in the first place. Most of the 아니메 was pretty hard to go through. I know it was made in the 1990’s but, take in mind most of these cliches are from like the beginning of action shows.

Another huge problem Sailor Moon had is it’s inability to create an emotional response. The first reason I believe Sailor Moon fails to create an emotional response is that the creators fail to develop the villain’s character and instead try to 잼 in a generic sense that the villains are missing something from their lives. It is also to predictable that they are getting ready to kill off the villain. On 상단, 맨 위로 of that if the villains do survive they usually turn good and get their happy ending after that. The only one who did die for good was Nephrite who didn’t get any development besides “I’m in 사랑 with a 14 년 old” and then dies after that is established to death(no pun intended) and the fact is that most of the villains deserved what fate they got. It wasn’t funny.I just wasn’t deep enough into the show to cry when the villains died. Same goes for the 히어로즈 because we all know sailor moon doesn’t take enough risks to not guarantee everything will turn out just fine.Not saying it didn’t get me at least once (it did) but the emotion was 로스트 after that.

I should probably be a little 더 많이 positive though. I don’t just want to rant about the show and make a lame complement like “the music/art style is nice”; it wouldn’t be fair to the 팬 who actually took the time and effort to read this and are trying their hardest, to be polite and respect my opinion. So I am going to go 더 많이 positive for a little bit because I don’t want to make the impression that everything about this show is bad. Mostly because that simply isn’t true there are good things this show has to offer.

First of all the universe created in this 아니메 is creative,ingenious and unique. In fact I think this is probably why it’s so popular. I’m going to disagree with the NC on the theory that the formula made it popular. The first reason for that being that at the time this type of universe was created it actually was pretty popular. The whole concept of a world with action against evil and good, add magic, focus on friendships and romance of the main character, add in a little about 우주 and 당신 have a 인기 concept (especially in the 1990’s). Though it doesn’t sound that distinct; it somehow became unique 의해 how they use and explain the universe that they made; too bad they didn’t focus on it that much it could’ve been my guilty pleasure.

I also like how some of the characters are put together. One of them being Usagi herself. Usagi is actually a pretty well put together character. Her personality is pretty unique, even today I don’t know any other characters who act like her. I really like how they develop her to get 더 많이 mature as 당신 go on and she’s a very likable character even if she’s very annoying at times.I also think Sailor Saturn is a well-written character.Though 당신 have to get to episode 100
to get to her so, I’m not going to spoil anything about her but, she’s a really good character.Besides those two characters I don’t really think any of the others are interesting 또는 well put together characters.

사무용 겉옷, 전반적인 this is an 아니메 I won’t suggest watching if 당신 are looking for something new and distinct to watch but, it’s an 아니메 I think 당신 should at least give it a chance before judging.It’s entertaining in the sense of getting a strong opinion out of 당신 and it’s harmless though cheesy and pretty much everywhere...

NagisaFurukawa- Are you upset cause you can learn from this Anime Sailor Moon. I learned not to give up in life and that Sailor Moon taught me a valuable lesson in life. Just give Sailor Moon another try before hating on it. Watch the Sailor Moon movie and give more Episodes of Sailor Moon a try. When someone hates an Anime and calls it cheese they need to get to the part where there is more characters in Sailor Moon. Your hating the Anime cause you think its cheesy. But that's your opinion and you can't prove that it is Cheesy. Why hate an Anime that you can learn life lessons from? Sailor Moon is a good example for boys and girls. Sailor Moon teaches that when life gets you down you can stand up for themselves and to not be bothered by the world. Also when I watched Sailor Moon I could not predict that Sailor Moon was going to be attacked by her love crush Tuxedo Mask. Try proving to me that you can predict everything about Sailor Moon. Why hate an Anime that is there to not only be a super hero Anime show. But you can learn life lessons from Sailor Moon. Besides you say Sailor Moon is cheesy and you have to write another article to prove yourself. Well listen up bub this is the Anime Fan Club not Anime hate club. And those pictures you put are fan made pictures of Disney Princess Cosplaying as there favorite Sailor Moon pictures. You know what you just did? You made me an even bigger fan of Sailor Moon. Try proving without your opinion that Sailor Moon is cheesy and that it sucks. Of course the first few episodes went bad. But after that it got into battles that you could not predict that Sailor Moon would actually lose and so did the rest of the Sailor Scouts. Than Sailor Moon did a big explosion blast and defeated queen Berrel and the Dark Kingsom once and for all. Besides I see Sailor Moon as an action Super Hero show like Marvel and D.C. Is. And Marvel and D.C. I can careless for. So when I say this I male my point. This is the Anime Fan Club. If you hate on an Anime go to some other website and post this article. You think Fans want to come to the Anime Fan Club and be told how badly there favorite Animes are? If no one likes me saying that Naruto and Naruto Shippuden sucks and I should not post that on the Anime Fan Club. Than I say you should not post hate about Sailor Moon opinion or not. By the way I noticed in Superman that all he does is takes off his glasses and changes into her Super outfit. And nobody knows he is Kent Clark. That is so obvious and cheesy. Super punches power fist is to predictable. Now in Sailor Moon I never would have guessed that Sailor Moon got married to Tuxedo Mask and have a child named Sailor Chibi Moon. Cause Tuxedo Mask became evil and wanted Sailor Moon dead. You should not look to much into an Anime and just enjoy the Anime for what it is and not what it seems like. Try to take my advice and give Sailor Moon another chance. Actually finish season 1 and watch the Sailor Moon movie. Sailor Moon has taught me to never give up in life and to always look on the positive parts in life. And that we can change the way we look at life. I learned from Sailor Moon. She is a positive remodel in peoples life. How is that wrong? Try explaining that. Gour only judge by its to cheesy and predictable. Try actually proveing and finding fault with Sailor Moon Anime. And don't go writing an Article again about why you font like Sailor Moon. This is the Anime Fan Glub for fans to enjoy Anime. Not Anime hate Club to bash on Anime that people like. I learned that from people on the Anime Fan Club. And you should try to learn that as well. This is a Anime fan I repeat FAN CLUB. NOT AN ANIME FAN HATE CLUB. SO STOP POSTING HATEFUL STUFF OK. NOBODY WANTS TO HEAR HOW MUCH THERE FAVORITE ANIMES SUCKS. IF YOU DON'T ANYONE TO SAY THAT TO YOU THAN YOU DON'T DO THAT TO OTHERS ABOUT THERE FAVORITE ANIME. UNDERSTOOD?

NagisaFurukawa- And no Sailor Moon is not everywhere those are just fan pictures. You cannot prove that its cheesy and everywhere just cause you say it don't make it right and true. I am a true fan who stands up for Anime that I like. And I repeat this is the Anime Fan Club not Anime Hate Club. So stop posting hatful stuff about Anime you don't like. If you don't like it than who cares. Focus on Anime you like. Not Anime you hate. By the way all of what you said is opinion and you cannot for a fact prove that Anything I said is false and wrong. If you can make me out as a lier than I will consider that your right and I will than turn against Sailor Moon and I will agree with you weather you want mw to or not. Bur until than I see no reasons,proof and facts that your right about Sailor Moon being a bar Anime. Me and everyone else here is to enjoy Anime for what they like. Not to be seeing a bunch of hate post about all the Anime that we like. PeacefulCritic ^It's cheesy and predictable and I already explained my point of view on that subject very clearly and don't pull out this prove me wrong rant. I can't it's a opinion idiot. If you want prof of it I can give you as much as you want .Who's this mysterious character who looks just like our main character? Or how about who is Tuxedo Mask, not Darien I'm sure of it? Uh, Oh Sailor Moon is in a battle is she going to win or loose? Point being it has a lot of cliches and by the way I do have more reasons for hating SM then it's cheesy and Predictable. I just announced that since it fuel the other problems. Like for example it effected the emotion and the characters deeply which is something I already explained in detail in that article but, I can announce more problems with it. The romance sucks it's your prince charming and Cinderella type of romances, it doesn't try to be funny, complex, or distinct. It's just plain and boring part of romance, nothing else. I can name a whole list of things that are a flaw in Sailor Moon because it's too cheesy and predictable; The characters are one of the things that are largely effected by it because they have to fit that standard of being 1930's characters so, more then half the characters are either annoying,bland, pure good or pure evil. (I already explained why the emotion is effected by it so, we can skip that). The tense action scenes are obviously effected by it since we already know what'll happen in them and who'll win. The universe is also effected because of they need to make room for the always popular high school setting/plot against the, awesome galaxy story/plot. The big picture is that a lot was effected because of that one and main problem. The reason why I didn't want to go through and tell everyone every problem in Sailor Moon is to make room for some positive.Instead of going all out rant on everyone. Which brings me to the next thing you wanted me to argue with you about. Is hating on a single anime wrong to do in a anime club and my response to that is no, it's wrong to hate anime in general in an anime club, it's completely fine to hate parts of it, in this club. It's like saying you can't hate a character in a show you like because the only opinion you are allowed to have about that show is positive.Look I get that you like Sailor Moon but, will it kill you to respect that I have a different opinion from you. I don't know why you keep saying I can't hate on SM because you like it. First of all, I already said I was ranting for the most part so, that was your cue to go. Second, I made two paragraphs praising Sailor Moon so, I shouldn't be hearing you complain that I wasn't positive enough in my review or that I was bias. Third of all and most important of all this is just my opinion if I did something offensive or if I had some grammar mistakes it is fine to correct me but, you can't correct me on my opinion or what I think.If you do that you look like a troll. If I have a different opinion from you;I shouldn't be told that I'm wrong. You also had some sarcasm about me hating it for the lessons and I should like the lessons they are teaching kids. I want to bring up that the lessons in SM is written poorly and has barely anything to do with the mini plots that was also shoved in there. Sailor Says is weak at it's core, if I wanted a slice of life show I would've went with Fruits Basket or MLP;FIM it would be a lot better source to learn meaningful lessons from, not SM. Also I didn't hate the main character re read the second to last paragraph for prof of that.(though I never I bring it up I do think she's a bad role model sense she runs away from fight for the most part) I still strongly agree with what I said and don't expect my to change my answer there's no reason for me to do so. Especially with a butt-hurt SM fan yelling at me and trying to force me to re watch Sailor Moon. When I already had a hard time going through the 127 episodes the first time and for your information I do know quite a few things about SM; If I didn't I would've never even put out this article because I know very well that I can't post this without knowing the subject I'm critiquing. The last time I did that, I got embarrassed and upset at myself for not knowing the origins by Snow White's voice actor/singer was. In other words I learned my lesson that I should do research before posting anything. to confirm my opinion to be valid. Another thing you brought up is that I should hate action shows if I hate SM and I strongly disagree;They had an excuse Sailor Moon doesn't. SM was made in the 1990's so it shouldn't be as outdated as those 1930's shows. Besides those comics got adapted to be more modern and unique so, at least they grew out of it as the time went on. A old show called Jem and the Holograms were made in the 1980's and it was more modern then our little Sailor Moon over here. It shouldn't act this predictable. I know a lot of older shows and movies that wasn't as cheesy or as outdated as SM so, that is a very valid complaint and defense in my opinion. One more thing I said it was everywhere because when anime is mentioned on the internet that's one of the most popular subjects. Though it was a joke mostly, no need to take it that seriously.

zanhar1 I guess what keeps me personally attached to SM is that it was a childhood favorite. The memories I tie into it make it worth liking. I mean yeah the plot is kind of repetitive but I think it's entertaining enough. In general I'm not crazy about most magical girl anime. But the characters are good enough. It gets way better in the later parts (like SM Stars). But yeah, I can see where you'd find it a bit cheesey lol. @Nagisa I don't have a problem with you by any means but I don't think she intended any offense here. I totally get you not wanting to see hate on your favorite anime. Where I disagree is when you said that this article should be taken to another site. The anime club (as I said on your poll) is a club full of many many opinions and since it's not a fan club for any one anime it's fair to post articles like this. If she had posted this on the SM club I can see it being a problem. She however, just wanted to put her opinion out here. You can just ignore it. But if you're like me lol you have a need to defend the things you like. When I read an article like this about something I like, instead of taking jabs at the person I try to politely explain why I disagree. That way it can create a healthy discussion instead of a fight... Unless of course the poster was being downright hateful in his/her article. Then it's fair game. But I think peaceful was being respectful. You're more than welcome to post an article like this on Naruto (I probably won't read it though), you have every right to state your opinions. And you won't get reported for it because this isn't the Naruto spot. Basically what I'm saying is I agree with you but I also don't if that makes sense.

PeacefulCritic ^I can see where you are coming from I felt the same way about Pokemon. Even if it did have it's flaws, I liked all the nostalgic memories it brought back and all the flaws wasn't so bad that I couldn't enjoy it. SM is entertaining I just didn't enjoy it. personally. I probably would've liked it a lot better if I had watched it when I was littler. BTW thanks for standing up for me for the second time!

NagisaFurukawa- PeacefulCritic what you swaid does not convience me at all. I do agree with Zanhar1. @Zanhar1 i just was making my point here. And @PeacefulCritic i never watched Sailor Moon when i was a child i did not grow up with Sailor Moon like most people do. But i am a big fan of Sailor Moon. All you gotta do is trust me and give the Anime one more try before hating on it. I have had people tell me how much Soul Eater Not sucks cause its not like the original Soul Eater Anime series. But than i had people give Soul Eater Not another try and they ended up liking that Anime series. So can you please give Sailor Moon more of a watch and a try and actually finish season 1 before hating on Sailor Moon Anime? And weather you grow up with an Animke or not does not determine weather a person can enjoy the Anime or not. So please actually finish season 1 and the Sailor Moon movie before hating on it ok. At least give that much a try before knocking it on the little you have watched of Sailor Moon.

zanhar1 @Peaceful I've watched Pokemon whe I was younger as well. It was alright, don't remember it much though. But memories always help make something enjoyable. That's alright, I mean not everyone has to like it. Yeah, I think SM was targeted towards a younger audience anyways. No problem. @Nagisa And that's perfectly okay. You just have to be very careful with how you say it.

PeacefulCritic ^It was and so was Pokemon. I just don't call that a good excuse for slacking off, which both did a lot but, in the end of the day I guess it was okay as long as people enjoy it and it's nostalgia value. Then, it doesn't really harm anyone besides both stay in a PG rating so, I can't complain about it too much.
