Was there ever a character with a personality different than what 당신 expected? If so, who?

Akane Tsunemori from Psycho-Pass. 의해 looking at pictures, and from a bit of the first episode I though she would be that one cute, naive, rather useless character 당신 get in alot of action 아니메 that I wouldn't think much of (seriously, look at those 강아지 dog eyes). But she developed very nicely, and I was pleasantly surprised 의해 the end of the series.

Homura Akemi

I thought she would be shy and nice. She was a horrible person. Then she became an evil creature. I really don't like Homura.
