Am I the only 아니메 팬 who prefers kawaii over scary?

Well, "kawaii" 아니메 tends to get redundant. Nothing new here. There usually isn't much context behind the "cute" aspect of the series, rather than its intention to be "cute".

Horror 아니메 series are some of the best I have seen, and I find that they deserve 더 많이 recognition. There is something unique in each of them; they're not all necessarily "scary", despite their classification, but there is something brewed along with them that makes them interesting in their own way, whether it is suspense 또는 emotion 또는 whatever it may be. A lot of horror 아니메 are made complete with a psychological element, so, inevitably, many of them have something meaningful and mind-bending put into them. I don't like 아니메 where I can stare blankly and half pay attention when I please, and still have a perfect idea of what is going on. Horror series are also less subject to contain a cliche set of characters than the cutesy series. The cutesy ones all have the same idea in all.

I have to go with horror, but I'm sure 당신 aren't the only one.

I 사랑 Lighthearted and cute anime!!!!! It one of my 가장 좋아하는 genres ever!!!!!!! I don't really like horror 아니메 because it scares me to much!

I watch both, but I'd still pick horror over "kawaii" any day. The plots are genres I'm really interested in, whereas with 아니메 like Ouran High School School Host Club 또는 Special A (these are the types that I think are light-hearted and cute, I'm not sure if 당신 personally classify them as "kawaii"), I watch them because I think they're funny and they make me smile. :) I watch them for completely different reasons, but my 사랑 for deeper plots trumps my 사랑 for watching things that cheer me up on a bad day.

However, everyone has their different preferences, and if we're covering the vast amount of 아니메 팬 worldwide it would be theoretically impossible for 당신 to be the only 아니메 팬 that prefers cute over horror. xD

As a side note, I have yet to find a horror 아니메 that has actually scared me.

I don't know. I do like a few kawaii anime, like Tokyo mew mew. But I usually prefer the horror and adventure genre. Death note, code geass, another, kuroshitsuji, etc.

I like cute animes :) But they aren't my 가장 좋아하는 .. i have never been into horror animes. I don't like to have a heavy 심장 while i'm watching anime.
I like to feel happy and like I am actually getting something from the anime. Not just violence, intense emotion and scary plots.

I'd prefer cute over scary. I don't like stuff that are too girly though except Shugo Chara. That's probably the only super girly one I have watched. I haven't watched horror 아니메 yet.Anything close to it would be like mystery and suspense. I have watched Psycho-Pass. Does that count as a horror anime?

I definitely don't see the appeal in so many of the really creepy shows that are out there.

As much as I 사랑 cute fluffy shows I also 사랑 stories with intense plots but I just can't stand horror most of the time. Especially some of the really freaky shit that's been coming out lately.

I 사랑 horror the most out of any genre tbh, but I also 사랑 cute series. I watched Acchi Kocchi just for the art style and Tokyo Mew Mew for the character designs!
