아니메 질문

Ok I'm confuzzled...>_<

Why is it that when we translate Japanese 아니메 names, we change the translation??
For example:
Kamisama Hajimemashita: Would usually mean "Nice to meet 당신 god" 또는 "How do 당신 do Mr. god?"
Not Kamisama KISS
And Wagnaria. It's translated to english as "Working" but I happen to know that hataraite means "working"
Plus, I'm sure they wouldn't name their restaurant "working."

Anyway, I just wanted to know if there's a reason to all this stupidity :/

I noticed that too with some names.... i think its probably cause people think a certain name sounds 냉각기 and they figure noone will really care if they dont translate it directly i guess.

sometimes a literal Japanese translation can sound dumb in English. at least, i'm thinking that's what the localizers must have thought.
