to 팬 that like both yuri and 야오이 BOTH: could 당신 please explain to me what is appealing to 당신 in each genre individually and why 당신 like both of them?

I kinda like 야오이 to a point but I'm 더 많이 of a yuri lover. But genres can be equally appealing to some. Remember there are bisexual people as well. So don't 당신 think they will like it? The main reason why I like yuri and to a point 야오이 because it's a different from the same old straight relationships. It adds something different to the mix. In MY OPINION there's nothing different between the two except for genders. That is why I don't mind either one.

Individually

Yaoi: I like 야오이 simply because I think it's adorable. There's no complex explanation here; I like 야오이 just because I enjoy to draw it and watch it. Although I strictly disapprove of "Just Sex" Yaoi, and I despise Canon x Canon 야오이 (unless the couple is proven to actually exist in the Canon Storyline).

Yuri: Personally, I prefer Yuri over Yaoi. I am not ashamed to admit that I find Yuri way 더 많이 arousing than Yaoi, but this is not why I like it so much; I like Yuri because I'm kind of a Feminist, and I don't really get Emotionally attached to men that easily (in real life; ignore the Fictionals). I find Yuri very Tender and Sweet, and I think the Emotional Bond is stronger and deeper. Plus, it's as adorable as 야오이 (if not more) and the Storyline is interesting. Again, I strictly disapprove of "Just Sex" Yuri, but I don't mind "Hardcore" sprinkled here and there.

In General

I like 야오이 and Yuri because I believe Homosexual couples share deeper, stronger and 더 많이 meaningful feelings than most Heterosexual couples. "True love", if 당신 will. They 사랑 each other for the person, and not for the subconscious instinct to continue their race and bring offsprings; something I really respect. I also like 야오이 and Yuri for differentiating from the usual Boy x Girl Stories we see everywhere, but that does not necessarily mean I hate Heterosexual couples ('cause I don't).

Overall, they're both great, and I enjoy them. C:

Well... it's kind of hard to explain, especially because I'm only beginning to be a bit interested in yuri. I used to despise it, but I'm liking it 더 많이 and more. Right now I'm only interested in two yuri pairings, Noeru and Karen from Mermaid Melody and Sakura and Anya from Nyotalia. I've loved 야오이 for a while now, though. I guess both of them are just pretty interesting genres. I dunno. I just like them.

Well for me I only ship a pairing if I can actually see them being together. That goes for Yaoi, Yuri, and Straight pairings. Maybe it is because I'm a girl, but I just like 야오이 더 많이 then Yuri. I can find 더 많이 야오이 pairings to support in 아니메 then Yuri for some reason. I never ship something just because I find it cute 또는 hot, I look for hints 또는 bonds between each character. If I like the idea and it fits I will normal support it.

Well, its kind of simple in my case really I think. I 사랑 야오이 and Yuri, because for me, the 사랑 between same sex couples are more… I guess real? I have nothing against straight couples at all, but the relationship 또는 bond between them isn't as strong, in my opinion. Its about the same sex concept that catches my interest. Sure some people say that its disgusting and unnatural, but why is it so terrible? If people 사랑 eachother, then they should be together right? That's why I 사랑 it though. Its about real love. A real bond. Despite them being the man 또는 woman that they are, 사랑 found a way to bring them together! Get what I'm saying? What is so disgusting about people who care for eachother being together? Its not. 야오이 and Yuri are a symbol of true love, and I know it sounds corny, but it is what it is. Finding their other half, not caring if that person had the same bottom half. So the 다음 time someone says "Ewww that disgusting! How can 당신 like that stuff?" Just say "How is 사랑 disgusting?"
