Outside of being a shojo, it's pretty girly. The main theme is roses. Also, it's a reverse harem, meaning it's about a girl surrounded 의해 lots of guys. To a girl, it's pretty much an 아니메 heaven of really hot 아니메 guys. But to a guy... honestly, if a guy watches Ouran, I'd get a little freaked out. No offence to any guys who watch Ouran...
But I do reccomend darker animes, like Soul Eater and Black Butler. Black Butler may be about a (extremely cute) young boy and his (really hot) demon butler, but it's very dark and bloody and has lots and lots of death :) And Soul Eater is also darker, although it's much different than Black Butler, since Black Butler takes place in England in the late 1800's and Soul Eater takes place in a 더 많이 present-day America. Oh yes, and I also reccomend Death Note. Again, a show about 2 (hot) guys, but this time there's also a girl with them. Plus it's a lot about death and killing people and people going insane and death... yeah, I'm just going 의해 the descriptions my 프렌즈 give me.
There are plenty of animes that are pretty simple to tell that a boy wouldn't like them, like Tokyo Mew Mew and Sailor Moon and all those magical girl animes. I'm not sure if Fruits Basket would be on the "avoid" list, though. Like Ouran, it's reverse harem shojo, but there's plenty of fighting elements in it as well, like Yuki and Kyo's constant fighting and the episode where Haru and Kyo fought... plus, it's really funny and it helps me get through my day. Although it qualifies for "Worst Way to Tell a Girl 당신 and Your Family is Cursed" XD
