There is a law that passed last 년 that said that it would be illegal to buy, sell, 또는 own "bad" 망가 after 2011. Like with violence and sex and other innapropriate content. I think that 야오이 fell under the category of innapropriate as well. But I'm not entirely sure what became of that plan.
