I decided to give all the original characters that I came up with their own section, just to explore the origins of their names. There are a couple of “categories” that these names fall under; ones named after 프렌즈 of mine, ones that were just randomly thought of and don’t really mean anything, and then a few based off characters in 영화 and TV.
Only a couple of characters got their names from 프렌즈 of mine. This consists of Owen, Kyle, Adam, Jack, Lucas, Jason, and Lydia. Most of the characters, however, were names that I just randomly thought of to give them a name and have no (intentional) meaning behind their names. Amy, Grace, Mary, Robert, Clara, Lisa, Steven, Emily, Scott, Carly, Ron, Gerald, Jonas, Oscar, Jessica, Leyla, Darren, and Mort were all names that I just randomly thought of.
The names in this last group were all based on some kind of reference 또는 suggestion. I’ve already mentioned how Kenya’s character wasn’t even mine, and that her creator let me use her for my stories.
Martha and Gary were both names found in a 투표 for the names of Humphrey’s parents. Viggo I picked partially because it was a unique name and partially in reference to Viggo Mortensen who played Aragorn in Lord of the Rings.
Tommy, I named after Tommy Merlyn from Arrow. The names for Mick and Rory are a play on the character of Mick Rory from The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Nugget is named after the character from the Kindergarten games in reference to Jacksepticeye. Arnold, of course, was named after Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Jax and Martin were named after the two halves of Firestorm, Jefferson Jackson and Martin Stein from The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. Hammond was a suggestion from the 팬 who pitched the ideas of the Crimson Pack and Viper.
Steven’s son, Luke, is clearly named after Luke Skywalker. Joe is named after Joe West, again from The Flash. And Oscar’s sons, Mark and Ethan are named after Mark Fischbach and Ethan Nestor, better known as Markiplier and CrankGamePlays.
