Three years had passed since the events of Alpha and Omega. The 늑대 of Jasper Park had been living out their peaceful lives for quite some time now, and have grown used to seeing 늑대 of other packs pass through 또는 even reside in Jasper.
Humphrey had been loving his new life in the combined pack, living with his, I'll say fairly new, mate. Although he and Garth had their differences, they had become 프렌즈 over the three years. Humphrey would stay at 집 every 일 while Kate went out hunting with the other alphas, but on specific days, Kate would teach him how to hunt, using live prey. He had been advancing fairly quickly, as he knew nothing of the art before Kate had shown him. However, a recent injury to his left-front paw kept him from hunting, as he had to limp around instead of walking 또는 running. He spent most of his time in the den, watching the trees sway in the wind, and talk with passing 의해 wolves.
Kate had been farther advancing in her already superior hunting skills, leaning from other alphas. Her life had been so much happier, and not as full of responsibilities since she and Humphrey wed three years in the past.
Garth had also improved on his hunting (and howling, mind you) skills, mostly 의해 teaching Lilly. Lilly had also been practicing her hunting skills, taught 의해 Garth, and Sometimes Kate too.
"Humphrey? 당신 sleeping?" Kate asked as she walked into her den, finding Humphrey asleep on the floor. She nuzzled his side, her cold nose waking him up with a yelp. "Oh! H-Hey Kate! Back from hunting already?" He replied, still half asleep. "Yep!" Kate said with a nod. "Pulled in a huge caribou!" Humphrey's ears perked up, the mention of 음식 gaining his attention. "Awesome! Are we gonna eat it tonight?" "Of course, It's 공식 만찬, 저녁 식사 time in a few hours." Humphrey's tail started wagging, his tongue lolling from his mouth.
Four hours later, the pack had finished the massive animal off, and left the 본즈 for the pups to teethe on.Kate had invited Lilly over to their 굴, 덴 for a visit. Inside the den, Humphrey lay asleep on the floor, while Kate and Lilly sat in the middle of the room, talking about their new lives, with family. At the moment, they were on the subject of Kate and Humphrey's adventure back to Jasper Park. "First thing we saw when we got out of those horrible containers was a range of beautiful mountains.. topped with snow, and a beautiful cloudless sky.." Kate said, enthusiastically. "Wow... I'd 사랑 to see that one day.." Lilly replied. Kate chuckled, "You will, Just wait for it..."
