Through the night, bathed in the light filtering in from the moon, high in the center of the sky, Eight and 라일락 꽃, 라일락 sat in embrace, holding each other closely, tightly. Neither of them said a word, but there was nothing that needed to be spoken. Their hearts ringing out in their chests said it all. They simply sat, the cool night air unnoticed as their combined body heat kept it at bay.
라일락 꽃, 라일락 kept her head to Eight's chest, her head down, eyes closed and ears back. Her tail curled around her and she got as close to him as she could, listening all the while to his 심장 beat in his rib cage.
All the while, Eight held her in close embrace, his chin down on 상단, 맨 위로 of her head, sitting as though to keep her from harm, protecting her from the very cold of the evening. The night had grown timeless. His eyes were closed, and the thoughts in his head were still for the first time all evening. He thought of nothing, he had no questions. All he needed was in his arms right then.

After a time, the night became filled with sounds again. The party on the other side of the cliff was now back up to what it was before the initial howling. Muffled echoes of merriment and fun could be heard. Howling, 노래 and general carrying on filtered in with laughter and got louder and louder until it broke into the private world that Eight and 라일락 꽃, 라일락 now shared in silence.

라일락 꽃, 라일락 pulled away from Eight's 모피 and looked up at him. He kept his paw around her, slid down a bit as she moved away and looked back at her, giving a smile, partially of relief, and very much out of joy.
Neither of them had a clue how long they'd been there, though the moon would indicate it to them, as it had moved past its highest point in the sky and began its slow descent.

"Do 당신 think we should go and visit with the others?" 라일락 꽃, 라일락 asked, jokingly and dry, as though the thought of leaving this perfect place disgusted her.
Eight thought for a moment and shook his head,
"Nah. Who needs em'?"
라일락 꽃, 라일락 smiled and nuzzled Eight along the side of his head again. Her scent filled his nose and intoxicated him.
"Tell ya what," he said, gaining her attention, "You go somewhere, and I'll follow."
라일락 꽃, 라일락 smiled again at his words, this time, coming back with a quip,
"You just want to follow me so 당신 can stare."
"Guilty." Eight grinned and held his paws up as though to say 'arrest me'.
라일락 꽃, 라일락 laughed aloud and pushed him over. He caught himself with a paw just before hitting the ground and the both laughed.
"You're so violent!" Eight said, mockingly as he stood to his paws.
라일락 꽃, 라일락 stuck her tongue out at him and did the same.

Side 의해 side the two now walked on, following the narrow trail atop the cliffs back and around to the rest of the Clan.
And the Clan members were quite enjoying themselves. All of the good times being had, it was a miraculous wonder. As the pair walked on, through the noise, groups and clusters of 늑대 howling and laughing, a few handfuls would stop to acknowledge one 또는 the two 또는 both of them from where they stood.
"Hey Lilac! Looking good, girl!" Came a few shouts from the females of the groups. Even Eight had gotten a few whistles 또는 howls here and there, along with the occasional overly excited pack member hanging around his neck, 또는 roughly patting his back, being loud and obnoxious. But he enjoyed every 초 of it, in truth. He and 라일락 꽃, 라일락 looked to one another laughing to each other.
The Clan had gone crazy with the moon, and everyone was having a 상단, 맨 위로 notch time.

Eight looked around to take it all in, every sight, sound and scent of his first Moonlight Howl. The Alphas could be seen scattered and few on the lower tiers of the howling rock, and 더 많이 and 더 많이 as he looked up the trail until, at the top, almost completely silhouetted 의해 the moon, the elder Alphas could be seen fraternizing with one another and enjoying themselves as well.
Eight bumped into one 늑대 and brushed another as he found himself in the thick of a crowd of party-goers. He should have been paying attention. He stammered and excused himself a dozen times as he slipped through, trying to make his way back out of the bunch before finally, a single silvery-white paw found his own and pulled him straight through the crowd.
On the other side, he saw that it was 라일락 꽃, 라일락 who had caught him off guard.

"Thanks," He smiled and joked, "I thought I was a goner for sure."
라일락 꽃, 라일락 nodded to him and gave a simple "Mmmhmm!" walking with a sway that just said, "You owe me one, Beta."

Eight grinned once more, mesmerized 의해 her attitude tonight. He picked up his paws and they followed her lead while his eyes followed that sway of hers. She looked back at him for a second,
"What did I tell 당신 about staring?"

He was caught. He sank his head and blushed before picking back up to catch up to her,
"Sorry... I, uh, Just couldn't help myself."


The two now walking side 의해 side, mingling here and there as they passed along the trail, out of the main crowd now. They walked until they met up with those familiar faces again, the Omegas, Zen and his crew, who were now joined 의해 더 많이 Omegas and Deltas as well. Even a few Betas joined their own private party, further away from the main group.

It was all for the better, Eight felt at 집 here. The Omegas were his friends, and though he outranked them 의해 Clan standards, they were equal in his own mind.



From the beginning up until now, the night had shaped up to be wonderful. Everything he could have wanted had come to him this eve and he could ask for little more. Good friends, Fun times, a beautiful girl 의해 his side.
Not bad for his first Moonlight Howl.



One he wouldn't soon forget.
