Did anyone else not like the movie because they changed Freddy?

i loved this movie, also because they changed Freddy, but let me explain...I like the dark and sinister and twisted Freddy, not the clown, if there was Robert, Jackie 또는 whoever else, he had to be like that...and thanks to God Jackie did it, and so much better than I expected :D

I agree with you! I didn't like the style of the new Freddy either, they should have just stuck with the old one

I haven't seen the old 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' but I really liked this one- especially Freddy's laugh. <3

I'm on the fence. I think Jackie did a good job playing him. There were some things about the new freddy I didn't like, but then again, if 당신 kept everything the same, 당신 couldn't call it a "remake", could you? ;)

I grew up with Robert Englund freddy so he's always going to be my favorite, but the direction that they were going with the remake, I thought that Jackie did an awesome job

Somethimes i'm thinking, they really should not have done the remake because they cannot replace the original Freddy.
Robert would always be the real Freddy, because he portraits him better.
Now I do understand that if they did this remake to like reboot whole Nightmare Series, because it's been a few years and it was time to bring back the rememberance of 프레드 Krueger.. and all.. but like then again they shouldn't have done a new one if Robert wasn't going to be playing the role of Freddy.
