Episode 13
Emily's Exploit
The Island of Sodor was having the biggest amount of visitors that they ever had. It seemed as if every person in the world was there, and Sir Tophamm Hat needed to prepare a lot of passenger trains for them.
One day, Emily was getting ready to leave Knapford with her two coaches. They were full, and she found it hard to start. She blew her whistle, and her wheels slipped as she tried to pull her train.
"Duuh, did 당신 see her straining?" Asked Henry.
"Positively painful." Remarked James.
"Just pathetic." Grunted Gordon, "She should give up, and get scrapped before it's too late."
"Be quiet!" Burst out Duck, "You're all jealous. Emily is better than any of you."
"You're right Duck." Protested Boco. "Emily isn't the strongest engine, but she can get the job done."
"I've done it. We're off." Said Emily as she slowly pulled out of the station, with her wheels still slipping. She had to take her train to Brendam Docks.
Bill, and Ben were delighted to see the visitors. They took them to the China Clay Works in a Break 봉고차, 반 Special. Bill took one van, and Ben followed closely behind with another.
They arrived at the China Clay Works, and the passengers got out to look around. They had a good time. Then, they were returned to the Docks so that Emily could take them back to Knapford.
Shortly after Emily left the Docks with her train, the weather changed from a clear sunny day, to a dark rainy evening. The rain made the rails wet, and with a heavy train, Emily found it difficult to get any traction. Her wheels slipped dreadfully, her sander failed, and her driver had to drop the sand 의해 hand, while riding on her side.
Then, with a shrieck, and a crack, something broke. Emily stopped, and quietly sobbed. No one noticed she was crying, as the crew inspected the damage. "One of your coupling rods broke Emily," Said her driver, "We took them off, so now you're like an old fashioned engine. Can 당신 get these people home? They must start back tonight."
"I'll try sir," said Emily. Then she pulled, and puffed, and puffed, and pulled, but it was not easy to get enough power without her coupling rods being connected from the cylinders to the wheels. The passengers were anxious.
"I can't do it." Said Emily sadly, as tears came out of her eyes.
"Don't worry." Said her driver, "We'll loosen the couplings on your coaches. 당신 can pick them up one 의해 one, just like 당신 do with freight cars."
"That'll be much easier." Said Emily. So, the driver, fireman, and conductor loosened the couplings on her coaches.
"Come on!" Puffed Emily. Slowly, but surely, her train began to move, as the first coach helped the second. "I've done it! I've done it!" Puffed Emily.
"Steady girl." Warned her driver. "Well done girl, you've got them! You've got them." And he listened to his engine's steady beat back to Knapford.
Emily arrived at Knapford, tired, battered, but undefeated. Sir Tophamm Hat pointed angrily at the clock, but excited passengers cheered, and thanked Emily.
Duck, and Boco saw to it that Emily was no longer made fun of about her having difficulties starting with a heavy train. Gordon, and James remained respectfully silent, for at least one week when Emily was sent to the Steamworks to be repaired.

The First 일 of School
The 일 I started school was quite humorous and enjoyable at the same time. I was the unique one among my classmates because of my fair skin, which resulted in some of them wondering if I was a foreigner. The teacher was also amazed 의해 my intelligence and how I did well in most of the subjects. I was ahead of my parents during the reviews as well. Once, my mother got surprised when she saw me 읽기 the sentences in the English lessons aloud. She said, "Rosie, 당신 already know how to read! I'm so proud of you!" I smiled and winked in return. This made me feel grateful to have the special gift of being a fast learner. I was very friendly to all of my classmates, too. Also, during this time, my fluency in English increased. It truly was a great start for me, and despite getting excellent marks, I remained humble and always thanked my parents and teacher for their help.

Becoming a Beatles Fan
My parents introduced me to the Beatles 의해 the time I was a toddler. The first song that I heard from them was "I'm Happy Just to Dance With You", which remains one of my favorites up to this day. I couldn't help but dance along to the infectious beat. My mother then showed me a 사진 of the band, and I gazed at their sweet faces admiringly for thirty seconds. Soon, I was listening to their other songs, mostly from the early years. I also watched A Hard Day's Night and Help!, to which I couldn't stop laughing. It was officially the moment I became a huge Beatles fan, and thus, even though I was unaware of it at first, was also the start of an exciting journey that I would never forget as I started school.

Kelly requested me to do this, so here I go. I know things have been rough. 당신 had a rough childhood, and it isn't fair. Of course, nobody ever said that life was fair. No matter how terrible things were and still are, please know that I am your friend. If 당신 ever need to talk, I am only an 메시지함 away.
I admire that despite everything 당신 have been through, 당신 never became bitter. Don't ever change, Kelly. It would be heartbreaking if 당신 did. No matter what anyone says, 당신 are wonderful the way 당신 are.
Even if there are storms, just remember that the sun is shining somewhere. I will help 당신 see the light when it gets dark. I will be a shoulder to cry on. I want 당신 to know that all of your 프렌즈 당신 have made here care about you. 당신 can talk to us about anything.
Just remember that lyric from one of my favourite Beatles songs, "Any time at all, all 당신 gotta do is call, and I'll be there."
Peace and love,
-Paul
