Now that the AMAs are done and dusted, all the red carpet interviews 5SOS did on the night are hitting the internet and having already revealed that their aim of the night was to stop Justin Bieber hating them, the lads also revealed a few things about their luck with the ladies.

Stopping for a chat with E! on the carpet, host Giuliana Rancic decided to ask the lads about the big tour next year and the differences between dating Australian and American girls, at least before shamelessly proceeding to hit on Calum. Not the we blame because, well, it\'s Calum isn\'t it.

"The more heart and soul we put into things, the more they respond and it\'s a beautiful thing. We have amazing fans, beautiful fans who love lyrics and the music we make and we\'ll see them on tour next year," Ashton told Giuliana on the red carpet.

"If you come to the tour you\'ll get to see Calum, more importantly," Michael added. "Calum\'s the best looking man in the world. Look at him," Ash agreed as Calum did us all proud and pulled a particularly horrendous face for the camera.

This got Giuliana obsessing over how dreamy his dimples are (we\'ve all been there) and as a result Calum looks a bit like he\'d quite like the ground to open up and swallow him whole.

This wasn\'t where things ended though and Giuliana also wanted to know the difference between American and Australian girls. Do they have better luck with one sort than the other?

"I\'d say in America they prefer Australian guys and in Australia, well we don\'t do that well with girls," Luke said after a good think.

Clearly the boy is deluded as frankly he\'d probably still \'do well\' if he turned up wearing a giant baby costume with \'I hate One Direction\' written across his face in permanent marker, but we appreciate his attempt at modesty.

"We have a lot of fans in Australia that we love that have been there for a long time, but in the street we\'re not doing to well with Australian girls. We\'re more exotic in America," he concluded, frankly just putting an image of four flamingos wearing skinny jeans into our heads.

If you\'re wondering if there\'s any other differences 5SOS have noticed between the American and Aussies among you, there is one thing that sticks in Ashton\'s mind.

"American girls are faster runners," he added. "And higher jumpers."
