I'm so sick & tired of hearing that 24 is just a show about people dying, or that it's just right-wing political propaganda. Frequently in horror & action movies, people are tortured, and for the most part (in horror especially) it's just for the fun of it but I don't hear many people complaining about that. 24 only gets flack because it's got political aspects to it, so of course because people are so simple-minded, they think 'Oh it's political and it promotes torture! It's obviously got a conservative leaning!' Which isn't true. I think most of the cast have been liberal (Carlos, Kiefer, Sprague Grayden, Janeane...). I know Jon Voight is a Republican, but he's the only one I know of for sure. I don't think that many liberal cast members would take part in a show that was right-wing propaganda (except Janeane, she's against the show's policy stuff yet still took the job because she wanted money). Some people who insult the show's politics really have nothing better to do and have obviously never seen an entire season.

I'm glad to hear Stephen King is on our side. In defense of 24! YEAH!

And on a last note, what would these people rather see Jack do to get information out of a terrorist? What, tickling them? Or maybe even just sitting down to have a nice friendly chat might work!

He should sit down and have a cup of tea with the terrorists, and have a friendly chat over the location of the nuke.

Seriously though, it's just ignorence. If you can't figure out the difference between tv, and reality, then there's probably something wrong with you.

LOL! I can totally picture this conversation:

*after discussing the terrorist's favorite movies for 2 hours*
Jack: Will you tell me the location of the bomb now?
Terrorist: No, we must now discuss politics.
Jack: *sips tea* We've got roughly 22 seconds until the bomb is supposed to go off, and since the people who don't even watch our show are complaining about the torture, I'm not allowed to physically hurt you anymore. So I will ask you politely one more time - where is the bomb?

Oh geez....
